I think they did the same thing in Vincent Price's 1971 "The Abominable Dr. Phibes" but I think the needles came out of a telephone, either way they did the trick.. vallo

The movie you're thinking of is 1957's "Seven Waves Away" with Tyrone Power,Lloyd Nolan, Steven Boyd and Mia Zetterling. hope this helps. But Lifeboat had a better story and more twists.

The bio Bette Davis, "The Benevolent Volcano" was made in 1984 (5 years prior to Davis' death in 1989) made after her stroke,so she talks from the side of her mouth. it was Directed by George Marshall,I tried looking up George Marshall(IMDb.com) but there is nothing on this particular director. But, is was a BBC production so that may be British view of Ms. Davis, never mentioning "Of Human Bondage. vallo

I'd have to say Montgomery also. Just to watch the scene in Mr.& Mrs.Smith when he's trying to bloody his nose with the salt shaker to get out of a dinner date and make Carole Lombard **** is a howl..more favs "Here comes Mr.Jordan" The Big House" I also like Taylor, but not in costume epics. I always think of Young as Marcus Welby M.D.(is it just me?) vallo

path40a, I watched Private screening also and thought Mr.Lumet was honorable the way he praised his actors, never saying a bad thing about them only that they were pros at their profession. I too like his depiction on New York in many of his films a true pro himself.

Lux0786, If you check the old posts under "That's it!" there was a disagreement with the realfuster and another poster. That was the last time therealfuster was on the boards. I thought that she would be back, but it will have to be our loss. unfortunately
