There is something like that in the film "In a Lonely Place" (1950) Dixon Steele (Bogart): I was born when she kissed me. I died when she left me. I lived a few weeks while she loved me. vallo

From, IMDB.com A sequence featuring the climactic fire that burned down Roberta Carter's ('Mary Astor (I)') house was cut from the final film. A snippet from the scene can be seen in the trailer on the DVD. here:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055370/trivia vallo -

I?m a fan of Carey. I first noticed him (as a kid) in Millard Kaufman?s 1962?s ?Convicts 4?.His short scenes are the reminder of what kind of actor he was. He took over the screen with his intense eyes and larger than life persona. It?s a shame that Hollywood and movie goers only started to recognize his talent after his passing. Tonight I finally got to see his opus. I did like it. It?s the kind of film you think about well after it ends. Who knows what he could have done with a bigger budget. He put his heart and soul into this film. Even if this role was a fictional one, we get to see his brilliance here. I?m glad I stayed up to catch this movie and went away with a whole different respect for this mystery man that I find truly fascinating. vallo

I think alot had to do with timing. Lewis was hitting it big with Dean Martin (the world's top box-office earners from 1950-56 as a team) around the time the Lucy started working on Television on I Love Lucy with her (then) husband Desi Arnaz in 1951. Lucy did make a few "Funny" films with another comedian..... Bob Hope. vallo

What as shame. Had a pretty tough life losing both her husband Ernie Kovacs and then her daughter in separate car accidents. RIP Ms. Adams. vallo

I'm not sure where your located.( I Now live in Long Island N.Y.) But if you have Cable or Satellite, No Converter is needed. Until HD is the norm you may have freezing problems with HDMI until the change over in February. I resently purchased an HDMI TV and have freezing problems on some channnels (including TCM) Voice and frame skipping also happens. Ahhh Progress!!! vallo -

I saw the film years ago in cinerama on a school trip (believe it or not) it was great but I couldn't get used to the lines coming down the screen on the right and leftsides. I also saw "The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm" at the same theater in Long Island New York also on a school trip and also in cinerama. I doubt there are many school trips to the movies these days. I would love to see it again in the same format. Now that I'm older (much older) *sigh.... vallo
