>>I pick " Decoy ", after all the hype I was very disappointed.<<
I watched it last night. I never heard of Jean Gillie (the Female Lead) (she was only 34 when she died) Kind of sad....
Herbert Rudley (Dr.Craig) walked around like a zombie and how Robert Armstrong became an actor is beyond me. I agree Ken, it was a disappointment.

Welcome aboard.. Check some of the threads, sit relax....Enjoy...
"The 100 years at the Movies" is usually shown in-between Films when there is a gap of about 15 to 20 Minutes before the next film. So you never know when it may show up. It could be on at any given time. You should check the "Shorts Link" below and it may be listed there. Good Luck

Because Classics had Better Writers, Better Actors and an abundance of Character Actors to choose from.
Now a days it all about the money Not the quality of the film.

Tommy Boy?

OK Here go's....
Oh, Ken, you're a dog. You're the nicest dog I know.

Not for all tastes. But I liked the film, great Dialog. "Lindsay Crouse" plays the Femme Fatale who was married to Mamet at the time. Definitely worth watching.
Use to show up from Time to Time on IFC.

>>Yvonne De Carlo dancing to Esy Morales and His Rhumba Band <<
And if you look close she's dancing with Tony Curtis in the crowded bar.
Lancaster had 7 films under his belt before Criss Cross so I think he was a little more attuned to these kind of roles.
I still wish they would release "I Walk Alone"

William Powell in My Man Godfrey?

Well there's always "The Man Who Came to Dinner" with Bette Davis And Ms. Sheridan, That seems to show up from time to time.

It's hard to tell, that far in advance. I remember last year it wasn't shown but it seems like a good pick for this years holiday.
They should release a DVD. There is a VHS of this film it's available at Amazon.com

The '45 version is the best. You can't beat Barry Fitzgerald and Walter Huston and Roland Young as Blore, with a great supporting cast. What ever happened to June Duprez? Top Notch acting.

I usually order from Amazon. But Deep- Discount is "Free-Shipping" and that can save alot on a large order. Deep-Discount uses regular mail so it may take longer to receive your films. There is always a down -side.

I always thought it was Billie Holliday.
Music by Harry Lenk
Lyrics by Eric Maschwitz (as Holt Marvell) and Jack Strachey (1935)
But the song is "These Foolish Things (Remind Me Of You)"
First heard in "Penny Serenade (1941)" and then again in 1949's "Tokyo Joe" with Humphrey Bogart.
