  1. OK Mr. Papillon....

I was sick as a kid @ 10, Pituitary Tumor..Yes really!!! I was home for months and the only thing to watch on the tube was Movies. Good old Movies. It was Million Dollar Movie,The Movie of the Week,The 4:30 Movie and anything else I could find with 7 channels (including PBS) to choose from (pre-cable). My Mom would let me stay up and watch "The Late Show, and The Late Late Show.

Black and White was the standard. That's the way it was......

  2. I think because they gave the film pretty good reviews and a lot had to do with word of mouth. Like Napoleon Dynamite, it will have a cult following. It's hard to say most films that they pan as bad, seem to make tons of money lately. So you never know..

  3. RO Did mention "The Man in Lincoln's Nose"

Hitchcock had another problem with The shot where the audience sees the killer's view down a gun barrel pointing at Peterson was filmed using a giant hand holding a giant gun to get the perspective correct.-From Spellbound (1945)

There was no way a hand holding a gun can turn 180deg.

But we as movie goers overlook certain quips.

I like to be entertained....Bottom Line...
