  1. Unfortunately the Clifton Webb film is not available on VHS or DVD. Maybe at E-Bay... vallo
  2. This is one of my favorite Lancaster roles. Brilliantly written by Ernest Lehman. Tony Curtis' finest hour as Sidney Falco. As cynical as it gets... J.J. to Falco: I'd hate to take a bite outta you. You're a cookie full of arsenic. vallo
  3. The only "Special Features" (Forbidden Hollywood) is a New Introduction by Robert Osborne and a Theatrical Trailer of "Baby Face".. vallo

  9. >>"Does anyone remember "Wonderama"? I believe the various hosts included Bob McAllister, Sandy Becker and Sonny Fox." << Believe it or not I was on Wonderama with Sonny Fox in 1962.(My Uncle worked for WNEW in New York) I got caught cheating in "Simon Says". I was one of the last to get out. The thing I hated was when they said OK kids time for a cartoon, they just took a break and edited the cartoons during the original run (too bad they didn't have VCR's) back then. I was in the first row next to twin girls (woo-woo) It was a blast but I was disappointed when I realized how fake the studio was. And it took 6 hours to make a 4 hour show with a lunch break (Hotdogs and chips) TV was so much better then, instead of all this reality crap we get now. vallo
  10. There are many we lost between this year and last. Some got tired of the complaints and arguing. And some lost hope in TCM. I go to a couple of Classic Sites and love the people here "the best". Yes there are the usual "trolls" but I always felt welcome. if not, I would still hang in there because we all have a common thread in Loving Films and I truly care for this site. >> Mrsl. said "she came on the boards and no one noticed". Well I noticed! and maybe we should have an "introduction thread" like other sites. Hopefully I will see most of you on next year and as long as possible. So yes remember the fallen and hail the ones that hung in there to make this site a great place to be. vallo (Bill)
  11. Back to the "Drawing Board".......... vallo
  12. Thanks Edgecliff, I was wondered what happened after seeing it on a Fox flyer included with some of there DVD's ( that were released) Lucky you got a copy, who knows it may become a collectors item. vallo
  13. Jack, I checked "Nats" bio and he sang "Stardust" in My Favorite Year (1982) and Sleepless in Seattle (1993) and of course Stardust: The Bette Davis Story. vallo
  14. Are you thinking of "Hell to Eternity" 1960 with Jeffrey Hunter and David Janssen Plot: True life story of Guy Gabaldon, a Los Angeles Hispanic boy raised in the 1930s by a Japanese-American foster family.(loved this film,as a kid) it's only available on VHS. Try here:http://www.amazon.com/Hell-Eternity-Phil-Karlson/dp/6301802411/sr=8-1/qid=1166246561/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-4689140-9490303?ie=UTF8&s=video vallo
  15. Hark01, While we like helping, when we can. your clues can be vague ( For example: is the bratty kid a girl? like "The Bad Seed" Plot Outline: An ideal housewife begins to suspect her loving adolescent daughter may be a heartless killer. Or it could be "Talk About a Stranger" (1952) Plot Summary: Coming-of-age story about a bratty kid (Billy Gray) who takes an instant dislike to a strange new neighbor. **A little more would help. vallo
  16. You didn't say what you purchased. But next time (if it's films) go right to the source Moviesunlimited.com vallo
  17. Ms.Burke are you thinking of "Elvis" 2005 with Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Elvis Presley & Randy Quaid .as 'Colonel' Tom Parker? vallo
  18. shearerchic04, What ever happened to The Fox Noir release of 1947's "Boomerang!" with Dana Andrews? It was suppose to be out already. Any help is appreciated.. vallo
  19. Anne, I have seen "Siriana" and some of his documentaries and many others. I think his Oscar was deserving. I think he is good director, producer and to many, a friend. I don't think he's a phoney like some stars. His attitude and love for his Dad is great to see in this day and age. As far as Lizabeth Scott, she may have been a fair actress but I liked most of her films, and I happened to think she was good. And the rumors about her were uncalled for. (different strokes for different folks) vallo
  20. >>So why don't the geniuses at TCM grab her for a perfectly glorious (well, to me) sit down with our friend Robert Osborne?<< Great Idea, I would love it. Especially if we got to see some of her films that are never shown like, I Walk Alone, Desert Fury and 1957's "The Weapon" with Steve Cochran. vallo
  21. >>"I'd like to be George Bailey and see what effect I have had on the world" Me too!, But I think I would of gone for Violet Bick instead of Mary Hatch.. vallo
  22. I saw a thread where Path40a was saying they have a contest @ his Classic film guide site http://www.classicfilmguide.com/index.php?s=tcm to win either the Marlon Brando or Paul Newman box set. Well I won (first thing I ever won) The Brando set is mine. Who says there' no Santa? vallo
