I find that trait in Joan Fontaine. I find her "wooden" in most of her roles, stiff and seems to be just reading her lines. Now her sister Olivia de Havilland,I find warm and caring.Almost like you know her personally.

Patful, you are correct..."Lord of the Flies"
Shipwrecked on an island, the castaway boys eventually revert to savagery despite the few rational kids' attempts to prevent that.
I love the '63 version not the '90 re-make
good show ,your go.........

Well Mongo, I will truly miss the Birthday thread. I'm not sure if anyone of us can do it justice. But a "Man's gotta do what a Man's gotta do." I do hope you will continue your "In The Spotlight" thread. Your knowledge of actors and films is an asset to this forum. Have a great Holiday and hoping to hear from you in the New Year.

And don't forget "Sassy"
Was the idol of Marilyn Monroe, who backed out of a bio-pic on her life. After reading the script, Monroe reportedly told her agent, "I hope they don't do that to me after I'm gone." Both Harlow and Monroe costarred in their last films with Clark Gable, Harlow in Saratoga (1937) and Monroe in The Misfits (1961) Kind of weird.....

This is one of my favorite Lancaster roles. Brilliantly written by Ernest Lehman.
Tony Curtis' finest hour as Sidney Falco. As cynical as it gets...
J.J. to Falco: I'd hate to take a bite outta you. You're a cookie full of arsenic.

I got "The Forbidden Hollywood Collection" and "I Love Lucy Season1" and the usual fanfare (Socks, Sweaters, Gloves Candles Gift certificates and a few unmentionables. And it may sound "corny" but, a good time with my Family.
