  1. It was "Cyrano de Bergerac"? How did I confuse that with "The Three Musketeers"? I could have sworn it was "The Three Musketeers". Anyway, I am just glad someone knew what I was talking about, especially after having the title completely wrong (which in this case would lead to the wrong storyline as well. Yikes!) Thank you so much for your help!
  2. Sorry to bother you all again. But this has been bugging me and I don't know who else to ask (the response I got last time on this forum was so quick and accurate, I am still ecstatic. ) and I am hoping that this version is available on DVD, but I don't know which version it is, so I am hoping someone could help me. A few years ago, (please remember I haven't had TCM in over a year, so if it has re-aired, I apologize.) TCM aired a silent version of a Three Musketeers movie (I am not even positive if that's the exact title as I know there are variations that exist.) What stood out about this movie is that in this movie, I believe every scene, was hand painted in a beautiful variety of color, but not the entire frame. Just certain things in each frame were painted in color. It was simply stunning! Does anyone remember this movie? If so, what was the exact title and what was the version/year of this movie? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  3. As of last October 1st, I moved to a new apartment and the new cable provider I have doesn't offer TCM, so I missed that encore presentation. I am pretty sure the original airing a few years ago was with a woman and Robert Osbourne. If that is the title of the DVD set, then, I can't thank you enough!
  4. Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone could help me? A few years ago TCM aired on a few Silent Sunday Nights in a row, a special. It was silents from a DVD compilation they put together and Robert Osbourne interviewed this woman who commented on each movie that was played. On the first Silent Sunday Night they aired this, they played they very first silents ever made and since they were only moments long, they interviewed this woman quite a bit. On the second or third installment of the special, they aired "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari". Does anyone remember this Silent Sunday Night special and does anyone remember the name of the compilation DVD's? I really would like to purchase them but for the life of me, I can't remember the name. I no longer have TCM because of the horrible cable company that I currently have and I truly miss the Silent Sunday Nights. Being only 27 years old, none of my friends enjoy them, so I used to stay come home anticipating a great silent movie and curl up in bed and enjoy a late night filled with amazing old black & white imagery and pops and crackles. I loved it! And I miss it. To me, the older the silent movie, the better. That's why I'd really like to get this compilation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
