  1. Big big fan of Mr Moore. My James Bond as I was 10 years of age when Roger debuted as Bond. Still believe The Spy Who loved Me is the greatest Bond movie and his best work. I own both The Saint and The Persuaders box sets and this weekend I'll have a martini shaken not stirred in his honour.
  2. ron's Photoron Today, 02:53 PM Louis Hayward was terrific.Sarcastic and extremely violent,no other actor was this deadly a hero as The Saint. Sanders was not the killing machine that Hayward was. A shame that the quality of Haywards Saint, is so poor.

  4. Can't believe no one mentioned Vince Barnett.
  5. Had the pleasure of watching both James garner and miss bacall in an episode of the Rockford files last month. Both giants of yesteryear.
  6. When James left the series, interestingly the shows producers brought in a young Roger Moore to fill in.
  7. James Garner was a real person and not just a fictional character on a tv or movie screen. I am mourning his loss not the loss of Jim Rockford per se. He is being discussed today and being remembered for his great achievements for decades on screen but is also being remembered fondly as a real person. Do yourself a favor and read his bio...perhaps you'll appreciate him more as a person rather than an image.
  8. Great bio and some really interesting facts that I had not known. Abusive step mom Lifelong weed consumer The road rage beating.
  9. Means he was a self professed bleeding heart liberal. I am not. Tore into Reagan as being an idiot and Heston too in his bio. Still, I liked him immensely. One real fine fellow.
  10. One of the most likeable and natural actors ever ....although I disagreed with everything politically that he stood for..I would have loved to smoke a joint and have a beer with him. Thanks goodness the hilarious banter between Angel Martin and Jimbo will live on forever.
  11. Apparently many boxing historians were not aware that this little nugget which is of value to the boxing community was shown the other night. This movie contains so much historical boxing figures that it is a much sought out movie. It's a treasure that contains so much valued footage that I ask TCM Programmer to please reschedule this move ASAP. In addition I think ESPN Classic would be a fine outlet to show this film. here is a boxing message board that is frothing at the mouth to see this little gem. http://p068.ezboard.com/fcyberboxingzonefrm3.showMessage?topicID=1702.topic
