Lincoln brings the dog to a meeting of bickering politicians and the puppy warms their hearts and they stop bickering and get along. The episode is available ON DEMAND if you would like to finish it. It is quite a good episode though I thought the musical interlude was a bit jarring.

Well I'm not sure about "OSBO" but Jenna Malone seems nice.

He was an okay actor. My favorite of his might be the King (though that is really more because of Thelma Todd
).

The only Vietnam war films that TCM usually shows are the Deer Hunter and occasionally Good Morning, Vietnam.

Yeah, they could show From 5 PM to 5 AM. That one is on YouTube with English subtitles and I assume it is public domain (probably).

I don't think his first language is English. His question is about the ratio/ formatting, I think.

That was part of my response to the original post. I was commenting on how Ben veers off point and stops talking about the movies he's introducing and decides to make jokes that are far afield from, what I have long assumed was, the point of the Presenters job to offer insight to the film airing.
Yeah, I agree with you. His "humor" really just falls flat to me. I don't particularly care for him and usually just mute him when he introduces. I'm glad that Malone hosts the Imports now. I much prefer her to Ben.

They are in Mandarin for me sometimes and English at other times. Weird.

Mr. 6666, or anyone else who might help, do you know how tonight's showings of Watership Down and Twice Upon a Time are being presented? They are on during the traditional TCM Imports timeslots, and while Watership Down is British and could technically be called an Import, Twice Upon a Time is American. Are they foregoing TCM Imports for the night in order to make it all-animation following the Bobby Bumps 'toons, presumably being shown as part of Silent Sundays?
Watership Down is listed as a TCM Import.

So, we're pretty much defining Lasse by one film, and not those dozens and dozens of sellouts he did every time Miramax wanted to sneak in another feel-good Oscar-bait?
I didn't know Lasse Holstrom even had a "directorial style" anymore.
He has a directorial style, it's just a cheap, schmaltzy one.

I think I saw Cider House Rules when it was on TCM once. It was okay. Besides My Life as a Dog, this is probably my favorite Hallstrom production.

Rewatching made me think that if everything else Hallstrom made was lost, except for My Life as a Dog, people would probably think Hallstrom was a much better director than was actually the case.
Well most of his directorial credits are ABBA music videos anyways.

The search advice should be directed to Sepiatone.
I took a pain to make clear that I don't take my own threads seriously. Can't you read?
My comment was in response to another, or I wouldn't have said anything at all.
I don't take it seriously but let me write this tl;dr comment about how not offended I am by it.
Okay....

You were being helpful. I was trying to issue you a compliment. I should have made that clear. Not to self-aggrandize but a while back I looked and looked and looked for the Home Town Photo thread and I finally found it. I'm not going to start another one, a Redux (if you will). I don't have the feeling that Sepia looked very hard to find the original Classical Music thread (which just happened be one I initiated, haha). There may be a measure of respect in making an honest effort to find the original. Or perhaps it doesn't matter that much. No one will believe me when I say this because most around here seem to think that any thread they initiate seem to be a vital extension of the inner soul, but I don't believe that at all for myself. A plethora of Classical Music threads might appear in a record time and I would remain unfazed. In fact, the more the better. After all, it's a great subject.
It really sounds like you're taking his thread too personally. I do see your point though. If you just type "classical music" or even just "classical" into the search bar, your thread is one of the first ones to turn up.

Speaking of people who are missing, James is gone. He said he was visiting Austria in another thread so I assume he is there right now.

Welcome back, Sewhite. Glad to see you back. As for GC, s/he is probably using one of their other accounts or making a new one.

Maybe Stephan was Cave Girl too.
