Ha! A bit off topic but you reminded me of how Igor Stravinsky almost got in trouble with the Boston Police for changing the Star Spangled Banner and using a dominant chord. A rumor later emerged that he was arrested for it which is untrue. Compared to some of the modern renditions of the Star Spangled Banner, God Bless America and other such patriotic tunes, this seems very non-controversial to me.

Italy and the US were on the same side in that conflict.
