I never really paid much attention to it. I always assumed that was a wristwatch that Burt was wearing. Wristbands are a lot more common in martial arts films, I think. I can recall some Shaw Brothers films where wristbands are part of the get up.

Well uh.... That's certainly something, I guess.
"Most people think of witchcraft as dark arts and bubbling cauldrons... and yes, that does go on."
"The Church of Satan is alive today."
Overall, it has a very public access, televangelist feel to it.

My bad, apparently TCM wasn’t seeking to attract but rather chase viewers with the Querelle/Maitresse airings…😮
“Absolute trash. Meaningless self indulgent shlock. A travesty this was on TCM. I am angry they showed This garbage where they show a live Horse being slaughtered. Utterly disgusting and they should be ashamed. I wont be watching TCM anytime in the future. All the people associated with this "film" I hope burn in eternal hell for this.”
“You know that saying about bad movies being train wrecks? Well, this isn't just a train wreck...this is the Godzilla sequel to the mother of all train wrecks.
Ohhhhhh, this film plays like an improv sketch of an art-house film written by lobotomised baboons. Or an unfunny gay-porn version of Barbarella written by homophobes.
Unwatchable. Really. And orange. With half-naked oiled-up sailors and enormous phallic mooring posts.
What on earth Franco Nero and Jeanne Moreau thought they were doing agreeing to take part in this septic tank of a film is quite beyond me.
Truly, the worst movie I have ever tried to watch. I suspect I won't try the book either!”…reference IMDb.💋
Somehow I think TCM will survive two harsh reviews from IMDB.

I assume this is a reference to Andrei Rublev?
No, that happens in Maitresse too (with Depardieu looking on ). Touki Bouki also has a horse slaughtering scene, I believe.

I don't like to see anybody bulled over their enthusiasm for something, but what Disney has been churning out for the last few years is NOT Star Wars. Star Wars actually WAS the three prequels that Lucas put out at the turn of the century. Granted, it was bad to mediocre Star Wars, but it was connected to the original three from 1977-1983 by characters and philosophy. Disneyfied Star Wars includes some rando female character - Rhea - who just picks up a light sabre and suddenly knows to use it like a black belt when we spent the better part of six years watching Luke Skywalker struggle and fail with both the physical and mental characteristics needed to be a Jedi, the killing off of the original three characters like Star Wars is "The Black Adder", and ,oh, "The Force is Feminine"? Who wrote this stuff anyways? Kirsten "The Future Is Female" Gillibrand? I wouldn't want to see someone bullied for being enthusiastic over artichokes, but that doesn't mean I want to eat one.
Oh, and Lorna, I'd pay eighty bucks to watch the supposedly lost "Convention City".
Yeah, this guy's reaction was a bit over the top and I don't care that much about seeing this film but I don't think he deserves so much hate.

That what happens when a man lives in his parents basement too long without a date.

He's actually married apparently (though admittedly she doesn't seem to share the same enthusiasm with his interests).

Yet, somehow I can't see you doing a video and posting it on social media telling everyone how much you are sweating and crying over LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT. Just sayin . . .
I could understand London After Mindnight because it's a famous lost film but the oddest part of his reaction is that these Star Wars movies have been churning out every year for the past five years. Though to each their own, I suppose. There's nothing wrong with being happy. I can't recall the last time I got that excited over anything.

I'd love to see this guy get interviewed by Bill Maher.

On Friday, the first trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker debuted to 70,000 enthusiastic fans at Star Wars Celebration and millions more online. One of those fans was Eric Butts, a Kentucky-based vlogger and filmmaker who taped his emotional reaction to the trailer in real time, only to have the video be distributed and mocked by trolls. But the fan community had his back — and the reaction video that received thousands of hate views has now received countless love notes and retweets from Star Wars enthusiasts, including Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill.

My choice would be Stagecoach because it was my paternal grandmother's favorite film of all time and we would watch it together very often. Her other favorites included Rose Marie (starring Nelson Eddy), Rambo: First Blood, Leone's Dollars trilogy, Fort Apache and her favorite TV show was Perry Mason.

So far, I don't see anything glaring wrong with his voice and certainly not his performance. If that is the case, what exactly was it that made him lose his appeal?
Yeah, I agree. He was a very good actor and I wish he had done more sound films. I certainly don't see anything wrong with him.

Yeah, Roman Novarro and any of the foreign ones with heavy accents are the first that come to mind.
