  1. I like that one. Makes me think of the suffering during the Great Depression. Good song.
  2. It also makes me laugh when those "types" rail against liberals when the founding fathers were heavily influenced by John Locke and the US is pretty much the standard liberal democracy for the world.
  3. Lucille Ball was very far left too and Paul Robeson was an outright tankie. Anderson Cooper isn't even very far left compared to some of those golden era actors.
  4. Another plausible one would be "Disney to do live action remake of a remake of an original Disney cartoon film."
  5. The Kid From Broken Gun Next: Klaus Kinski
  6. That sounds like one of the Crime Doesn't Pay shorts.
  7. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Next: Eastern Front of WWII
  8. "The Rebirth of a Nation" from 2007 uses footage of the original giving it a whole new soundtrack and some added effects. The commentary is about the original film and the history of racism in the nation. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1223143/
  9. Most of those remakes were pretty "popular" with audiences too iirc. I still like the 90s Godzilla even if I admit it isn't the greatest film.
  10. I already posted this in another thread but this one is influenced by the Sound of Music (obviously).
  11. The Adventures of Robin Hood Next: two strip technicolor sequences
  12. This is my favorite one. I especially like the part where they make the prison warden "go for a swim" right into a slab of concrete.
  13. Well you certainly don't hold anything back...
  14. One of my favorite feast scenes (and films) of all time. Included are several examples of natives actually killing and preparing animals to eat.
