  1. True but Best Foreign Film I'd put as 110%. Really nominating other films is just to make it look like other films had a shot. lol Edit: But I'd say it's not going to win Best Picture as foreign language films never win.
  2. Having one user name and not fighting with other people in the Noir Alley pages or being off topic should absolutely not be "walking on egg shells." Literally everyone else here manages to do these things. People aren't just picking on you for no reason. No one is asking you to "conform to their desires" but if you want to keep on changing your name and trolling people then don't be confused when people get annoyed and tired of what you're doing.
  3. I don't think anyone here wants you to leave. They just want you to "get along" better with everyone and not troll/ use multiple names. We already have another poster who uses multiple names (accounts).
  4. The point is you outright said you dislike/ don't care about movies and this is a movie discussion website! You don't see anything wrong with that. Also at this point it really does seem like you are just trying to troll and rile people up (especially in the noir thread). I don't want to think you have an ulterior motive but it really is looking that way.
  5. From the foreign editions- The Worthless, Mika Kaurismaki, Finnish edition So Long, Stooge, Claude Berri, French edition Rembetiko, Costas Ferris, Greek edition Sweet Bunch, Nikos G. Nikolaidis, Greek edition The Lift, Dick Maas, Dutch edition

Pauline at the Beach, Eric Rohmer, France 5. El Norte, Gregory Nava, USA 6. El Sur, Victor Erice, Spain 7. Nostalghia, Andrei Tarkovsky, Italy 8. L’Argent, Robert Bresson, France 9. Conquest, Lucio Fulci, Spain 10. Hercules, Luigi Cozzi, Italy Extra Terrestrial Visitors, Juan Piquer Simón, Spain Los Extraterrestres, Enrique Carreras, Argentina The Snake Queen's Wedding, Sisworo Gautama Putra, Indonesia Vahsi Kan, Çetin Inanç, Turkey Badi, Zafer Par, Turkey
  7. In another thread, he said he can't physically watch movies so he can only watch TV shows. "Sitting on my backside for a full movie is a no-no from my chiropractor. In 2015, I had done it for so long, X-rays looked like my bottom two discs had been fused. I used a walker for a month and slept in a recliner for two months. In other words, TV shows versus movies, especially with commercial breaks, is just what the doctor ordered." Also changing your name all the time seems like something a troll would do. Now I don't think he has any bad intent but it is rather suspicious.
  8. She didn't get a Golden Globe and the Globes are a decent predictor for how the Oscars may go. I don't think she'll win either.
  9. Kisch played by Michael Mellinger in Goldfinger
  10. I'd include Baron Prasil and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
  11. I like the music for the intros too but the one I really, really wish they brought back is the old Silent Sunday Night intro. The new one sounds like some Sigur Ros instrumental which is okay but it doesn't get you in the silent film mood like this intro + tango did.
  12. Most films about people from 300 years ago are going to have historical inaccuracies. That's just how it is.
  13. https://www.theverge.com/2018/12/8/18131221/kevin-hart-oscar-hosting-homophobia-twitter-tweets “Yo if my son comes home & try’s 2 play with my daughters doll house I’m going 2 break it over his head & say n my voice ‘stop that’s gay,’” read a 2011 tweet that Hart deleted sometime on Wednesday or Thursday.
  14. I'm not a fan of him but I heard his routine is all about being offensive so I think it's kind of silly to get outraged over him being intentionally offensive. I think they should have just kept him too.
  15. Plus they add in all the unnecessary skits/ songs and also that one time they brought in a bunch of random tourists and the stars were clearly very bored/ uncomfortable.
  16. No, Dr. - played by Joseph Wiseman in Dr. No
