the changed parts.....
01. When Ben Gardners head comes out of the bottom of the boat
02. When the estuary victim was in JAWS mouth and he pushes Michael Brody out of the path of the shark, there was Blood pouring out of his (The Victim) mouth and Stephen Spielberg thought it was too much Blood for the viewers. So he changed it to the 1/2 Leg scene.

Originaly titled Smokey is the Bandit
It was shelved and re-shot with Jerry Reed in the role of the bandit when the (Moron) preview audiences became confused with Gleason playing a Duel Role as Smokey and the Bandit.
What i find funny is how they were confused with Gleason playing a duel role in this movie but were NOT confused with Gleason playing a Tripple role in SATB 2 in 1980.

I was also going to post this, It lists this showing in Letterbox both on the Daily and Monthly Schedule.
I also noticed a couple of scenes where the film seemed to cut from one scene to another as if something had been cut out.
Anyone else notice this??

I have a Great Copy of The Big Trail....1930 on Video in the Original Grandeur Format from AMC back in 1993 or 1994, It is Complete and Uncut
I haven't watched it in awile but when i last watched it it was Great.
I will DVD it up and if it still is Presentable
I would be Happy to DVD Up some Copies for all 8 of you Below.

I'm 43 years old and would love to see some of the Older movies from my childhood, but they are either Not Available, Were Shelved or Sadly Lost.
I would Love to see the Original Theatrical Release of JAWS..1975, but i can't because Stephen Spielberg changed it after only 8 weeks in theaters, giving us what we have today, thanks to PreView Audiences.
The same thing happened with The Original version of Smokey and the Bandit 3..AKA, Smokey Is The Bandit, it was Shelved and then changed because of PreView Audiences being Confused with Jackie Gleason playing a Duel roll. Funny that No-One got confused with Gleason playing a Tripple Roll in Smokey and the Bandit 2.
I would also like to have All 4 seasons of ALF on DVD, Complete and UnCut, But, Thanks to Lionsgate Television Entertainment, It's Not going to happen, because they released the Syndicated Versions instead.

TCM works with what they Have and what they can Find that is Available.
It's like the Warner Brothers Looney Tunes Golden Collections that are coming out right now, Everyone is Crying and Whinning that they are not putting Their (The Customers) favorite Toons on the Collections. Be Happy they are Releasing them at all.
Turner Classic Movies is Bar None The Best Channel on TV.
