  1. I used to watch A.M.C. every chance i got. They had Great Old and New Movies in Widescreen Format-A must for Me- and when they showed Leslie Neilson with The 3 Stooges i lived in front of the T.V., thank God for my V.C.R...

I now refer to A.M.C. as American Mutilated Classics.

Robert O'sbourne said right after A.M.C. started putting commercials in their movies and Butchering them beyond belief,

"This is a Channel that Prides itself on Movie Preservation and now they're Butchering their Movies. It's really Sad."

Thank You Turner Classic Movies for leaving Movies the way they should be,

    Complete, UnCut and Widescreen.

Now if only Mr. Turner would start, Turner Television Classics, Complete, UnCut T.V. Shows

And start it off with ALF.

  2. After 58 years The Skyview Drive-In in Santa Cruz California has gone DARK.

The people of Santa Cruz said that The Owners just Completely Remodeled The Drive-In and are now Accusing The Owners of Selling Out to Sutter Health. Sad.

58 Years of Movies Sold for the Price of $1.000.000, From what i've read.

I was Concieved at this Drive-In on September 06 1963, Moms Birthday. it was 1963 not 1964. sorry.

My Grandmother worked here when it was called The Encina.

When i was a Kid back in the late 60s early 70s, Grandma and i would go to see Movies Every Weekend, it was so Fun. Screen #1 was 50 Feet by 104 Feet, The size of a 2.35:1 Movie.

They added Screen #2 in the mid 70s and you could see it from my Grandmas driveway. I used to sit on the back of her car with a Huge bowl of Pop Corn and a couple of sodas and watch whatever was playing on it, having no sound sucked but it was fun just the same. I remember watching Smokey and the Bandit, Jaws, The Aristocats, Star Wars and so many others. Good Times. The Admission price was $6.00 and although the food was nothing special there was just something about it that made you want more. It's really sad that something that IS and WAS so Fun has become a Dying Breed. But that's the way it is in America, if something is Fun and Affordable it doesn't stand a chance.

There is not an Indoor Theatre that is worth the price of Admission, nearly $10.00 now and that doesn't include the cost of Food and Drinks.

What is it now, $5.00 for Pop Corn, $5.00 or more for a Drink and $4.00 for a Hot Dog, I'm not even sure if Indoor theatres serve Hamburgers anymore, and as i said $6.00 to $10.00 for the movie itself.

For a Family of 4 a trip to an Indoor Theatre costs nearly $80.00

Who wants to pay that kind of money when you can see it here for $6.00 for Adults and FREE for Children 12 and under or you could just wait and buy it on DVD in 6 months time for $14.99.

Anyway, The Skyview will be Missed. And to the owners of The Skyview, Thanks for SELLING OUT.

  3. Hey JCD

I have a solution for you, BUY your own Movie Channel then you can show any movie you want, whether it is 100 Years Old or 1 Minute Old.

Till Then, In the words of John Rambo

    "Let It Go"!

TCM is with out a doubt

The Greatest Non Pay Movie Channel there is and i really doubt they will go in the same direction as

    AMC--American Mutilated Classics

I got Digital Cable Specifically for this 1 Channel, well that and The ON Demand.

Robert Osbourne came from AMC when they decided to go Commercial and Butcher their Movies and stop showing them in Widescreen.

He said, This was a Station that Prided itself on Movie Preservation and then SUNK itself, for The AlMighty Dollar.

    Way To Go Mr. Osbourne

  5. No-One

I Hate ReMakes, They are just Movies ReMade by people who 9 Times Out of 10 RUIN The Original and Get RICH off of someone elses Idea

    Case in Point

    King Kong--1976 and 2005

This is like asking people to ReCast

    JAWS

    STAR WARS

    ALIEN, Which is a ReMake

    STAR TREK

    GONE WITH THE WIND

    Any of THE ROAD Movies

Any of THE THIN MAN Movies

    Why Not ReMake

    I LOVE LUCY

    Or

THE HONEYMOONERS, They Actually Did and RUINED It

    ReMakes Suck

  6. I'd like to see the Original version of Smokey and the Bandit 3

    AKA, Smokey IS The Bandit

It was shelved and ReShot after Stupid people in The PreView Audiences became Confused seeing Gleason in Both Rolls, Jerry Reed suddenly became The Bandit along with Colleen Camp--Who Couldn't Act her way out of a Paper Bag.

What Confuses me is that Gleason played 3 Rolls in Smokey and the Bandit 2
