  1. Hi jguz58, I liked having the printed schedule in my hands, so I could study it at my leisure. Yes, I always pick out the most important entries immediately, but sometimes I want to go back and review the selections again. I write detailed notes to myself on the various pages and it stays on my night table, so it is always close at hand. When the schedule was only 16 pages long, it was quite convenient for me. Now that that its 35 pages long, the convenience is gone. So now I've had to resort to the method you've suggested, which is cutting and pasting the entries that interest me. Unfortunately, this has turned into quite a cumbersome and lengthy process. The point is I really don't understand what was wrong with the old format. It isn't as if TCM has added all kinds of additional info to the schedule to make it better. If anything the descriptions are considerably shorter and extremely poor. It just seems that now there is LESS information somehow taking up TWICE the space, paper and ink. Does anyone see ANY improvement in the new monthly PRINTED SCHEDULE over the old one, because this whole thing makes absolutely no sense to me. Carol P.
  2. OOPS, sorry for the repeated information. I guess SCARLETT'S post got in before mine.
  3. Thank you for your comprehensive reply. I was beginning to think that no one was paying attention. While I'm still not happy with the changes to the PRINTED Monthly Schedule (I have no problems with TCM's online schedule myself), as long as the promise to restore the TCM LIBRARY SEARCH is fulfilled, I will be forever grateful.
  4. I know this movie, but I'm not quite sure of the title. It starred Sandra Dee and Bobby Darin. I think the title might be If a Man Answers. I hope this helps.
  5. While you're at it, would someone please address all the problems that have been presented on this forum, regarding the printed monthly broadcast schedule. It now takes over 35-50 pages to print this schedule (depending on font size), whereas it used to take me only 16 pages to print the monthly schedule prior to all of the website changes. This is a REDICULOUS waste of paper and ink. You have asked us to BE PATIENT. Forum members have been asking that various schedule problems to be corrected for 3 MONTHS. I believe we've all have shown plenty of patience, but mine has finally run out. I used to visit this website all the time, checking schedules, SEARCHING THE TCM LIBRARY. However, it seems like some of the most important and best features on the site have either been broken or removed altogether. Now, it appears that the site is now fully concentrated on SELLING MERCHANDISE, instead of servicing its members. Couldn't TCM have managed to do both? This was once such a great website. WHAT A SHAME.

  8. It used to take me aprox 16 pages to print the average month's schedule, if I selected the smallest text size and selected single (not double) page printing. Almost 2 days of the schedule were printed on each page. NOW IT TAKES 33 PAGES. This is NOT what I would call an improvment. Please put the monthly print format back to the way it was. There was nothing wrong with it, nor has anything new been added to warrant the "makeover". If anything, the plot summaries have been abbreviated, but the excessive spacing causes considerably less information to be printed out per page. WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE FIX THIS.

  10. I am very disappointed with these new changes to the TCM website. There currently doesn't seem to be any way to SEARCH the schedule for films, either by title, actor/actress or director's name. This was a very valuable feature which seems to have disappeared. I'm aware that you have an extensive new TCM movie database, but this is more like a general reference tool and is not geared towards finding relevent information pertaining to TCM broadcasts. I can't find any way to search the advance 3 month schedule, or to see what films are currently in the TCM library. PLEASE PUT THIS SEARCH CAPABILITY BACK. Before these changes, you could search by an actor's name and ALL his film appearances for the next several months would be displayed. it only required one click on the search menu and the resulting display was easy to read. I also preferred the old monthly print format for the monthly schedule the new one is not as printer friendly, nor does it have important information, such as film running time. It appears to me that TCM has become one giant billboard/commercial advertisement for SELLING DVDS, VIDEOS and EBAY. I know TCM has to pay its bills, but THIS IS A REAL SHAME. Honestly, I see these changes as a huge step BACKWARDS for all the loyal followers of this station.
  11. Another great film that's appearing for the first time on the schedule (I think) is ENCHANTMENT, starring David Niven and Teresa Wright. A romantic, heart-tugging gem set during WWII. I highly recommend this film for anyone who has never seen it before. I can't ever remember when it was shown on TV.
