  1. YES!!! Thank you so much and my family and friends thank you too, as I have drove them nuts with this (like the name of a tune that is on the tip of your tongue) When I googled Harry Belafonte and read his filmography, it gives a plot outline of each movie and under this title the plot outline says: Harry Belafonte becomes trapped in a coal mine. Since I missed the first part of this movie when I saw it, I was unaware that that was how he had survived the nuclear war, and searched no further on that particular movie title. IMO, the plot outline should have at least mentioned a Nuclear war or something along those lines. So again, Thank You, Thank You, and Thank You
  2. I saw a movie on TCM late on night about 10 years agao and cannot find the name of the movie anywhere. I cannot remember the actors name or it was in color or B/W. I can give a brief synopsis of the film and hope someone can at least point me in the right direction, as I have pretty much googled myself to death over this. There was a black male actor and a white female actress who were all alone after some kind of Event, (not sure exactly what happened, Nuclear?) THey were the only two people left and they started talking and pretty soon had forged a semblance of a relationship. I remember the man rigging some kind of generator or such to produce electricity (i think), and I remember them getting to know each other and the they had the whole town to themselves. As there was not an abundance of black male actors back then as there are today, I started my search with the obvious choices like: Sidney Poitier, Harry Belefonte, and Ossie Davis but had no luck. This is consuming me, and I thought that since I had seen it on TCM, I might get lucky by posting on this site. Any help with this would be appreciated more than words can say.
