Though he's now considered a "supporting" star, DEAN STOCKWELL has always deserved more attention than he gets. His three major careers have carried him through prominence in films since he was six years old:
Child star-- Boy With Green Hair, Happy Years, Kim, Anchors Aweigh, Gentlemen's Agreement.
Young Leading Man-- Sons and Lovers, Long Day's Journey into Night.
Mature Character Actor-- Married to the Mob (Oscar-nomination, at last), Air Force One, Manchurian Candidate (remake), tv's Quantum Leap, and probably whatever film is coming out next week.
What a month-long salute could be put together by TCM for this long-lived star! Starting with the first film I ever saw-- "The Boy With Green Hair."
