I found this new classic movies site and thought I'd spread the word. Its a site dedicated to the decade of the forties. It is still under construction but worth a look.

This is a thread to share our top ten classic films list of all time! It will be interesting to see others top ten!
My Top Ten:
1.) Portrait of Jennie (Jennifer Jones/Joseph Cotten)
2.) Escape Me Never (Errol Flynn/Ida Lupino)
3.) Duel in the Sun (Jennifer Jones/Gregory Peck)
4.) Young Bess (Jean Simmons/Stewart Granger)
5.) Red River (John Wayne/Montgomery Clift)
6.) Broken Arrow (James Stewart/Jeff Chandler)
7.) The Big Country (Gregory Peck/Jean Simmons)
8.) The Heiress (Olivia De-Havilland/Montgomery Clift)
9.) Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex (Bette Davis/Errol Flynn)
10.) The Egyptian (Jean Simmons)
Yeah, each time I watch this film its still as enjoyable and emotional as it was the first time I seen it. David O. Selznick is, in my opinion, the best film producer of all time.
This is a 'Portrait of Jennie' thread. I just can't stop watching this movie! Portrait of Jennie is one of the best films I've ever seen. Anyone else seen it? Its fairly unknown.
