  1. The clip definitely showed a very bright and playful side of life - an escape for those living through the events leading up to the Depression. The tone and lyrics of the song she sang begged for someone to "come play with me." The use of the mirror was definitely another opportunity to show a large audience well dressed, out on the town, laughing and enjoying themselves, particularly for being "in the spotlight."
