First off let me say I have never seen either of them before.

I love their interaction. It was fun, flirty and very innocent. They seem to like each other but they don't want each other to know.

I think the male/female relationships in movie musicals are very innocent. They always seem to end up together.

I agree that it gives a brighter perspective then that which is going on in the world at that time. I think that is what movies do. They transform you to a different place. Sometimes it is a place that is not the truth. Hey we all need that every now and then.

The theme of most of the musicals at that time was just for you to have fun and to escape.

All the Judy Garland Musicals. Especially Easter Parade. Just love it. It makes me happy and it is so fun.
