Judy Garland's genius brings me to her films again and again, especially her work with Gene Kelly, (Summer Stock and The Pirate), Fred Astaire (Easter Parade), and her then-husband, Vincente Minnelli (Meet Me in St. Louis, The Pirate and "The Great Lady Has an Interview" in Ziegfeld Follies). I am also an absolute sucker for a good Esther Williams water ballet!
