  1. 1. The clip definitely shows a brighter perspective of life in the depression era. It focuses only on positive and happy situations. Even when showing someone from the working class, like the bellman, they are all shown to be happy. It also seems to hint that happiness is rewarded with financial gain. Also the concept of lavish gifts, such as the orchids sent to miss Held, exhibits that all is well and bright in the world. 2.
