  1. What do you notice about the interaction between the characters in these two scenes? Please give specific examples. Flirty yet distant seems they are aloof about their attraction in the boat scene he seems to have “ all the answers and knows what is best” in the bar scene she almost seems embarrassed that she is seen by him like a respectable girl wouldn’t be seen in a bar. They both notice each other but act like they don’t almost like a dance If you have seen either or both of these actors in other films or television shows, please share your perceptions about them.
  2. I love all the musicals with a lot of dance. The choreography always captures my attention. Singing in the Rain, On the Town, Chorus Line. Any Fred, Ginger, Gene, Donald,or Cyd dancing makes me happy. Also love Wizard of Oz, Sound of Music, The Music Man, meet me in St. Louis. Too many. So excited to learn more about them.
  3. Yes definitely has a light-hearted feel. Themes include rich, powerful, and beautiful. I think if this was made before pre-code her dress would be more revealing, there might be more of a love triangle or fight for the girl, and more of a risqué performance.
