[Title Help Please]

I'm looking for the title of a film. In this black and white, a woman falls in love with a man over a brief amount of time. I think they were in a cabin. Anyway, she spends her whole life waiting for this man and turns down opportunities to be in relationships. Later in life when they finally meet again, their encounter was so insignificant to him he does not even remember her. It's been a while but I can remember her being older in some parts so it may be told through flashbacks. I think I saw this ditty on Hulu when they had the criterion collection available. Any thoughts? It's driving me crazy! Thanks!
