  1. Hollywood has lost its magic because nowadays these cookie cutter bimbos are a dime a dozen and nobody wants to tell a story they want to sell you sex. While back then the press may have been phony . Take a minute to look at Clara Bow who was a Jezebel and the press told you so. Back then you had to have composure and a unique bone structure , not to mention actual talent.

  2. My favorite film with Bogart is Sabrina ,because I love his sarcasm and it was also the first film I saw him in so to me when I think of him I think of that film. He also says a line in Sabrina that cracks me up every time i here it. He is wearing a beanie and his old college sweater and while looking in the mirror he says" Look @ me Joe College with a touched arthritis ,I wish i were dead with my back broke".To me that is Humphrey bogart.

  3. Thanks for the tip ,however I have scene everything w/Audrey except The Lavender Hill Mob and Monte Carlo Baby. I loved Two for the road . Audrey was pure sunshine .Look at that face her that voice and how can you not be happy.

  4. Kay Thompson was also great in this film I love we she and Astaire pretend to be Beatniks. Stanley Donen directed this film he also directed singin in the rain. He later directed Charade in 1963 I think with Hepburn and Grant. All three films have that vivid, use of color.

  5. Singing in the rain score love Donald o'Connor doing "Make em Laugh".... Cole Porter of coarse I love "You're the Tops".My Fair Lady and last but not least Ethel Merman singing "There's No Business Like Show Business"from same title movie not the one from "Annie get Your Gun".

  6. Funny Face is my favorite Audrey movie , her son says it is his because it is what she was most like in life. Audrey was a train ballet dancer ,but had to give up ballet because of malnutrition after WWII .She was thrilled to dance with fred. When shooting the dance scene in the wedding dress, the ground was all muddy and Audrey said "I wait 23 years to dance with Fred Astaire and what do I get? MUD"
