Nope, not Doghouse Riley. Clue #3: The place the man searches is ruled by facsists.

Nope ... I knew someone would say that though, either with that clue or this one ... Clue #2: He finds the friend's girlfriend but she can't really tell him anything.

Yeah, I wonder if he has any anecdotes that tops Welles throwing flaming sterno at John Houseman's face. -

Walter Hill's The Long Riders is a good Jesse James flick. It has real brothers playing the roles .. the Keach brothers, the Carradines and the Guests. -

Anytime I find that I wasted ten bucks on a movie is a tearful film ending.

Maybe, that sounds like an anomaly though. The paper I work for has a left bias from the frontpage to the weather forecast, so I wouldn't be surprised if your local paper is the same way. It's sounds like it might be since they seem to know too much about who got the money and what it's for. The norm is that Republicans are for free markets and competition. -

Actually, it's into the pockets of Democrats, they're the ones who keep stacking taxes and surcharges onto cable, and are lobbied to encourage the monopolies of cable companies in their states. -

Cable/Satellite is like Communism or Socialism, you pay for the good of the "whole" and all channels are treated with equal importance, regardless of ratings or what channels you actually watch. It's like income redistribution. An a la carte approach would be nice, not to mention, truly capitalistic. Cable companies even had a socialistic monopoly in many towns and cities before satellite service came about. I was shocked when the day came that I ordered HBO and found that I couldn't just get one HBO channel but had to get all 72 of them. Yeah, the Spanish HBO does me a lot of good. It would be nice if these sophisticated boxes could tally up what you watched and you were billed accordingly. Now that you can download recent TV shows right after they've aired on an iPod, that's the next sensible thing for cable to do. Don't have HBO and just want to watch the latest Sopranos episode? Here you go, that's $2 on your bill. Only watch a handful of channels? Pay for what you watched and how long you watched it. Message was edited by: MattHelm -
Is it The Squaw Man (1918 or '31)?

Five Card Stud?

Yeah, but you're missing the point, at least 80% of the people in this country do not want to see movies that revolve around homosexuals, or movies that are either pro or sympathetic toward terrorists. That's just a fact, most people are traditionalists. I'm not arguing the aesthetic value of these films, just being realistic. Munich has only made little more than half it's cost so far, and Syrianna hasn't even broke even. As for the films that did well on less screens, their successes weren't big enough for Hollywood to expect lightning to strike twice in the same place. They didn't proportionately make enough returns for the suits to salivate. Sorry, but that's the business. If last year's dismal Oscars ratings didn't send a message to the studios, this year's will. As is, this year will see less movies produced and major stars are already taking pay cuts because of the box office being so bad. Tom Hanks has lowered his fee because he knows studios can get Harrison Ford for less. The crunch is on.

I also have to say Matt Helm's pad in The Silencers, with that big round bed that tilts into the big bath.

The Outlaw?

The suits at the studios won't care what the academy is trying to tell them, all they'll see is the even worse box office figures from the movies that did make the academy's cut this year. Even the Hollywood Reporter admits this is the most politically charged list of nominees ever, and perhaps why no one went to see them.

Only Angels Have Wings ... a different kind of movie for him, more of a role you'd expect Gable in.

Rock Hudson's place in All That Heaven Allows.

And the winner is ... oobleckboy, for Hangmen Also Die. I was wondering if I gave Czaka beer as a clue if it would have beem a give away.

No, squared. Clue #3: The Nazis close the schools to use as hospitals

This is one of the movies no matter where I come in on it, I have to watch it. I wish I had stopped in Galway when going from Dublin to Sligo years ago, but I was a guest and didn't want to be too pushy.
