They shouldn't remake this movie. Leave a classic alone. Hollywood today is trying to mess up everything. They can't make their own classics.
-
Margaret Sullavan and Gracie Allen were the least sexiest. Did anyone see any sexiness is Ida Lupino?
-
I'm not putting down Hedy Lamarr. She's wonderful. But I wouldn't put her in the class of sexiness, and what I mean by that is, I wouldn't say she was all sex or label her a sex symbol, because she was so much more then that. Compared to some ladies who was just all sex and no talent, She probably was the classiest lady on the screen. Along with Myrna Loy, I don't think they wanted to be all about sex.

Clark was tall, Kay was tall, but with high heels more taller. Sure would of loved to have see them also. How about Errol Flynn and Clara Bow? I know she was out of Hollywood by the time he came, but he was a energetic actor, fun to watch. But when sound came people didn't like Clara's voice, but I've heard worse.
-
Now I like you Alix, No Clark Gable and Kay Francis never appeared together. I would of loved to see them together. Clara Bow and Clark Gable, I don't know. hmmm? Clara was vivacious, as one person said she dances without moving her feet, very energtic actress. I think she would of been too much for Clark. Its hard to picture anyone with Clara, because she was HOT, too HOT for her time. She stands alone.

Oh Yes, I remember when TNT showed classic movies. They showed movies even Turner Classic Movies don't show. I love TCM, but they don't show movies done at 20th Century and other studios. But, AMC use to show 20th Century Fox movies, those Alice Faye, Sonja Henie, Gene Tierney, Betty Grable, Carole Landis, John Payne, and the unforgettable Carmen Miranda and others. I miss that. Hopefully, another station will come on and show what TCM don't show. There is a Fox Channel, that shows old classic 20th century Fox movies, but I don't have it in my area.

I like Dick Powell's voice also, in those 30s musicals with Ruby Keeler and others. I guess he had an wholesome image. Bing Crosby is one my faovrites also. -
Hedy Lamarr had that classy, elegance sexy, She wasn't as vivacious, energetic as others I could list. Hedy Lamarr and Humphrey Bogart, please, I know your a fan, but be realistic, he would overshadow her. She couldn't keep up with him. Maybe her and the debonaire Cary Grant, they would look better iwth her.
-
Like I said before, I didn't say Hedy Lamarr wasn't sexy, but she wasn't the tops. Not on my list anyway.
-
She didn't even get good roles, she complained about that. She was a has-been, I knew about Lana Turner, Ava Gardner, Clara Bow way before her. Their more talked about then Hedy is.

Sorry don't mix beauty with sexiness. You must be a die-hard fan, but ecven historians will say what I'm saying. I didn't mean she wasn't sexy, the least. Your right, a lot of times they had to force the sexiness, because it wasn't in her. She was kind of like Greta Garbo, those sexy gazes. But not a sexy image. I didn't mean she wasn't sexy, just the least. Maybe you need to look up sexiness, I would say Hedy was attractive or glamorous before sexiness, I think she would want to be called that also. Anyone on this board will say Rita, Lana, Clara, and Ava was more sexy. Hell even Judy Garland had more sexiness then Hedy.
-
I can bring up Hedy Lamarr easily, yes she was beautiful, but she wasn't as sexy as Clara Bow, Rita Hayworth. She even said it herself, may I quote "Anyone can be glamorous, all you have to do is sit down and look stupid". She didn't want too. I don't see any sexiness, just beauty. Anyone can have beauty, sexiness/sex appeal is a a talent. Your going to tell me Hedy Lamarr sexiness equals too say Clara Bow, Joan Blondell, Lana Turner, Marilyn Monroe, or Mae West? H*** NO. Excuse my language.

I have to say my favorite screen couple has to be Dick Powell and Ruby Keeler, they were so cute. Fans were surprised when they found out they weren't in love, and weren't married. Ruby Keeler married to Al Jolson, Dick Powell ended up marrying Joan Blondell. Dick Powell was coupled with Ginger Rogers, they were alright. She found her match with Fred Astaire. Dick Powell and Marion Davies was an awful couple. They should of put Ruby Keeler and Dick Powell together in Golddiggers of 1937? But Joan Blondell was in it. She was alright as the love interest, but I'm use to her being the sassy, sexy Golddigger. All in all, Dick Powell and Ruby Keeler were the fan's favorite screen couple, their personalities fit and their innocent, wholesome look. Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald were great. I'm not into opera, but I'll watch them anytime. Joan Blondell and James Cagney made a good team together, both tough, sassy, and fiesty. John Payne and Alice Faye were a attractive couple Gene Kelly and Kathryn Grayson made one together. But in Thousands Cheer, they looked very attractive together. Thelma Todd and Patsy Kelly were a great comedy team. Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy June Allyson and Van Johnson Some couples I can't understand how they lasted so long. Myrna Loy and William Powell were good individuals actors and actresses but together in some movies weren't appealing to me. Clark Gable and Joan Crawford didn't look together in every movie. What are some screen couples you all know of that I didn't mention or only did one picture but should of did more? Also, Who would you like to have seen together in movies? Or, who do you think shouldn't of been together? I would of loved to have seen Clark Gable and Kay Francis, just something about them would of made them look good, both being dark-beauties, but both of them at different studios. I would of loved to have seen Ruby Keeler with Fred Astaire. She had a lot of rhythm and spunk with her dancing, I guess she left the movies too early. Fred Astaire danced with everyone else, but her, he even danced with Joan Crawford, she wasn't that great. Ann Sheridan would off looked good with anyone, she had that kind of talent.

Sexiness is not just the body, its the way you act, personality, emotions, gestures, in the way you walk, the way a person where their clothes and the way a person talk. HERE'S THE MOMENT YOU ALL BEEN WAITING FOR. THE SEXIEST ARE Clara Bow Bebe Daniels Toby Wing- a lot of times she didn't even talk in movies, she usually played the pretty girl, flashing her eyes and smiling. Alice Faye Ann Sheridan Joan Blondell Nina Mae McKinney- watch Hallelujah-1929, and if you don't find her sexy, you don't know sexiness. Barbara Stanwyck-when she wanted to be Bette Davis- if the role required sexiness. Kay Francis Martha Raye- she wasn't that pretty in the face, but she had some attractive ways. Rita Hayworth Carmen Miranda Veronica Lake Marilyn Maxwell Susan Hayward Gloria Grahame Ava Gardner Ann Miller Hedy Lamarr

As a female, I think I can say who was sexy and who wasn't or who had the least sexiness. Joan Crawford wasn't that good-looking to me either. Jayne Mansfield I don't see her having any classic qualities, her big breasts was her sexiness and kept her popular. But all in all, I don't think she had sex appeal. Ruby Keeler was cute, but not sexy, being sexy would of messed up her wholesome image. Hedy Lamarr, Betty Grable, Carole Landis weren't that sexy, as people say, they were pretty, but all they did was flash their eyes, and show their legs. Lauren Bacall wasn't that sexy Esther Williams wasn't really sexy. Ava Gardner was attractive, but I didn't see it a lot. Clara Bow, Lana Turner and Rita Hayworth were always sexy DON'T FORGET TOBY WING, SHE WAS SEXY, WITHOUT EVEN SAYING ANYTHING. Doris Day wasn't sexy always. Bette Davis could be sexy, if the role required it. Greta Garbo wasn't sexy to me. Of course, she was beautiful though. Irene Dunne wasn't really sexy. Ginger Rogers wasn't sexy, talented and attractive though. Katharine Hepburn wasn't sexy. Patsy Kelly wasn't sexy, but she had some attractive one-liners. Frances Farmer wasn't sexy, I don't think she even tried. Ann Sothern was sexy, funny and sexy. Olivia de Havilland wasn't too sexy. Jean Harlow was cute and sexy. Joan Blondell was sexy to me.

yes, and I believe Connie Boswell was singin "I Can't Give You Anything But Love"? I wish I could of recorded it. -
The reason why people like The Enquired, People, and Star write these things and are successful at it, because idiots like you PATYPANCAKE buy it. Those actors and actresses choose their lives, did things they shouldn't, and they paid for it. I don't think everything came with the territory, they picked the things they did a lot of the times, and they thought nothing would happen. You don't have to be a movie star to have a tragic ending, its millions today who are normal like you and me, and have a tragic life and ending. Lets talk about Stars who beat a tragic ending and had a good life, but you all don't want to talk about that, you all get your kicks talking about fallen stars
