This is driving me crazy! Here is the basic plot of this 1940's - 1950's movie. A woman gets mixed up with a thug and ends up being involved in a crime and goes to prison. While she is in prison, she becomes a nurse. She is released on good behavior and gets a nursing position at a hospital. The soldiers are returning from war, and she falls in love with one of her patients. He does not know about her past, and asks her to marry him. Meanwhile, she has to report to her parole officer, who tells her she cannot marry unless she reveals her past. Since he comes from an afflunt family, she decides never to tell him. She marrys the soldier, and she keeps their marriage a secret at work. Sometime later, and one child later, her old thug boyfriend finds her. He threatens her that he will tell the husband about her past unless she aggrees to drive him to Mexico. She drives him to Mexico (along with her child in the car) thinking it is a one-way trip for him. He takes care of his business in Mexico then asks for a return ride home. Since that wasn't in the original deal, she panics. On their way home, they are in a car accident and she ends up in the hospital. Her husband comes to the hospital to see her and learns of her past.
