Wow! Lots of negative feedback on the TCM remembers spot. I love it. The music and the scenario were dead on - the first time I saw it, my wife and I stopped our conversation and the smiles dropped from our faces. The stereotypical cheap motel and the melancholy music reminded me that no matter how "big" a star gets, in the end, all we are left with is a few fleeting glances of his or her life - in short, their work. And where do we gain these glimpses? Sometimes (usually?) in the most ordinary surroundings. That is what movies are for.
