About BABES IN ARMS: Here is my favorite version of Where or When:

GOOD NEWS again? People talk about the complexity of movie rights, etc. Isn't this an MGM film and part of the Turner library? Did TCM need to repeat it so soon? I'm complaining a little, but also curious to know what other opinions are.

On that note what are your favorite Spencer Tracy films?

Looking Good Spence!!!

Posting an avatar should not be difficult. Editing a photo you want to use might not be so easy. The photo I did for spence was originally rectangular and 150 KB. I uploaded the image to an online photo editor and created a square image. It saved at 67 KB. The closer an image is to square, the better. My "The Keeper" avatar is 130 KB and slips under the maximum. Barely! My desktop is Windows 10 and Chrome is my favorite browser. Linux and I don't get along. It is too complex for me. I have not used Mac OS in years, but find it superior to Windows!! But there is the cost and I have shallow pockets.

Carol Lynley, ‘The Poseidon Adventure’ Star, Dies at 77

Years back, I gifted my sister-in-law a Traveling Wilbury's LP. Yes, vinyl. Well, Roy Orbison died 2 days after my birthday gift. She looked me in the face and said, "Please don't by me any Huey Lewis albums." -

I disagree on both counts. I'm no expert. Just my opinion. -

I have a desktop PC. Since my Mohs (skin cancer) surgery, I don't use it. I have Amazon's 10 inch tablet. It is what you should expect for the price. I do not miss MS Windows 10! My dream machine now is an iPad. Can't see well enough for just any screen. I love zoom and predictive text. I don't like tweets, regardless of how this forum displays them. Not sure why Jake cannot post from the original source. Sure, the web is never completely safe, but I really feel Twitter is unsafe. Even their CEO was hacked, for a second time. From The Verge: "Dorsey’s account has been hacked before. In 2016, the security firm OurMine hacked @Jack to send out a message about “testing your security.” The tweet also had a video and a link to OurMine’s website. (OurMine also hacked other CEOs, such as Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Google’s Sundar Pichai.)" -

I am put off by the Twitter stuff!!! Guess it either isn't being reported, or the moderators don't see the need to do anything. This is a forum, not a social media platform. I have Jake on ignore. Last time I mentioned it, my post was removed, but Jake is still allowed to flood this forum with Twitter posts. In my opinion, Twitter (and Facebook) are unsafe. I would not be put off by Jake forwarding links, but he seems too lazy. I only use a tablet. This forum is not mobile OS friendly. Everything takes me longer, but I try to do the right thing for the other members. -

There is an old saying from my radio days: "No brains - No headaches." Old DJs can be pretty lame. I've had plenty of ID 10 T errors. Okay, seriously. Spence could change his password and PM it to you. You could fix his avatar. Then he could change his password again. I do believe if anyone here can be trusted in this, it would be you LawrenceA.

This is really hard to do with my tablet. Hope it works. This is near the bottom of page #3 in the Stickies thread How do I add a photo. Posted by slaytonf. http://forums.tcm.com/topic/78404-how-do-i-add-a-photo/?do=findComment&comment=1705288 I am posting this as a link intentionally. It has images. This should help you spence.

We use to have a TV channel years ago that showed roller derby on the weekends. Girls were brutal. Here is some information about the Jim Croce song. Roller Derby Queen by Jim Croce

Yes, back in the days when gay and queer had different meanings. Back when sex was dirty and the air was clean.

TCM showed movie in wrong format
Dr. Somnambula replied to schabelf's topic in PROBLEMS with TCM.com
This puzzles me. I have not been to a bricks and mortar in years, but in looking at TVs on the Internet, they seem to have remotes. For years now, you need the remote from the cable or satellite company to change channels. I have a remote for my TV, and only use it to change settings. The cable remote does everything else. If you purchase a Roku of Amazon Fire TV, the remotes don't have channel buttons. You use navigation keys. I can't get excited over voice commands. You've a good daughter TikiSoo. These days TVs may not have the quality they use to. American brand names are no longer American. I am curious about the Panavision style TVs. What do the other aspect ratios look like? I watch a decent amount of older shows not in widescreen. Then again, imagine Ben-Hur taking up the entire screen! -
