  1. WOW!  To think something that strange would be from "Sesame Street".  Sure, "Sesame Street" has had its share of strange and scary segments over the years, but THIS one is bound to really scare children.  Still, it's a really interesting bit of animation.  Wasn't there also a cartoon on the show that involved a group of three children running from a giant and rather ugly looking rabbit?  I think the children hid themselves behind three trees, leaving the rabbit to run right past them.  Unlike many segments we see on "Sesame Street", this one in particular did not seem to provide any form of educational value at all.  Come to think of it, I believe this cartoon had the same, or at least similar, style to the one with the overgrowing frog.

  2. WOW! THANKS! That's exactly what I had seen.  It's just as creepy as I remember it to be!  I suppose this is a strange variation on an Aesop fable I had seen in a book.  Something about a frog describing the massive size of some animal to another frog.  It increases its size until it gets so big it explodes.  I think the story's moral was that sometimes it's not good to try and imitate someone else.

By the way, where is that cartoon from anyway?  It sure looks like an animation from "Monty Python's Flying Circus".  It's just as absurd as any of the material from that show.  Could it be from "Sesame Street"?  Perhaps a lesson on the concept of what "big" means?  I know I've seen other cartoons on that show with this kind of design.

  3. Both of those men are not only best known for their comedic acting, but also for their charitable work.  Danny Kaye has done work for UNICEF, and Jerry Lewis for years hosted the 24 hour M.D.A Telethon over Labor Day weekend.  Still, between those two, I would probably have to go with Danny Kaye.

  4. Would anyone happen to know where this cartoon is from.  I've had memories of it for years, and just don't know where it's from.  It takes place in a forest, or else a field of flowers and such.  There's a tiny creature of some sort speaking to either an ox or else a cow.  The tiny creature start becoming big by every small breath it takes, sort of like a balloon being inflated.  It become so big, its size almost takes up the screen, until it EXPLODES!  I believe the little critter exclaims something out loud like, "BIGGER THAN THE WORLD!", and then "POW!".  The screen blanks out and all we see is the same background minus the creature.  I know this sounds kind of scary, but this is something I had really seen.  I do recall the design of this animation sort of looked like a cartoon on "Monty Python", but it very likely wasn't from that show.  I've been beginning to think it could have also been on "Sesame Street", because there were a lot of strange and interesting cartoons featured on that show throughout the years.

Would anyone happen to know of this bit of animation?
