  1. While there are several SUTS days I'm really looking forward to, I think I'm most excited for this one. As a huge Universal classic monsters fan...it's probably been six or seven years since I last saw them meet Frankenstein, Invisible Man, Mummy, and Dr. Jekyll. I'll most definitely be tuning in from 8 P.M. to 2:45 A.M. Any other of their films that I should check out this day?
  2. The poor turtle, indeed. I don't think I've ever seen The Swarm...and don't think I'll be staying up until four to watch it after everyone's comments. If it goes on demand, maybe some time next week.
  3. Didn't realize this was on it's second season...going to have to go back and watch some of them. Another one came out today; definitely enjoyed Piranha.
  4. @LornaHansonForbesthat would be an incredible attraction to visit; my wife is a huge Popeye fan.
  5. Currently, I am reading Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke and the newer, revised Dark City. I also found Julie Salamon's The Devil's Candy, the subject matter for season two of The Plot Thickens, at a used bookstore in town. Going to start it when this season of the podcast ends.
  6. Congrats on your win; I am looking forward to participating in my first programming challenge.
  7. I haven't heard that term "at the show," but I could get used to it, honestly. As for what I watched recently, Spartacus (1960)! I saw it first about a year and a half ago...was great seeing it again especially since I've seen a few other films with Jean Simmons since. It was my wife's first...she sometimes has trouble getting through the long ones, but not with this one.
  8. Fan of some of their later work, but I found it hard to get through this one. I did, but I caught myself nodding off once or twice. Almost anticlimactic how Visser went to such great lengths for nothing. Going to try catching Night Moves on watchtcm later though; seems like everyone has much better things to say about it.
  9. Crazy that someone unknown gifted you that DVD. Also, I remember him saying that. The Q+A was great...wrote down several movies mentioned that I will be watching soon. Not sure if I'm ready for it, but this one is on the list.
  10. Really enjoyed reading everyone's replies so far... For me, I feel like I can relate a little to what everyone has said. And for reference to my feelings, I was born in '91. @TopBilled, my wife and I constantly discuss some of your points. Who were some of the people in these films, especially the lesser known cast? What were their lives like? We often find ourselves on IMDB trying to figure out who they are/were. One of the most recent was a carhop in the film Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967). It ended up being Alexandra Hay, who passed at 46. I don't even know where I'm go
  11. Looking forward to the announcement as well. My spouse has to go overseas in late April, so...we shall see!
  12. The African Queen (1951) This Sunday was my first time seeing it...loved it! Prior, I had only seen Bogart in The Maltese Falcon and Casablanca. Still lots to catch up on...thinking about watching through his filmography.
  13. Really enjoyed Season 1 of The Plot Thickens, and the first episode of the second season. Also looking forward to a night Brian De Palma as I've only seen like two of his movies...none of which are on the schedule tonight!
