  1. She looks a little like Mary Pickford.
  2. I've liked them all so far. They are just great. I like to see other people who also like classic movies and hear what they have to say about their favorite movies.

Actually, it was a lot of fun searching for the movie. Thanks! You know what I think helps? If just one of the actors is not too difficult to figure out. That gives us hope, so we start searching his or her movies. Try another one.
  4. One thing I love about these movies is that the hero isn't always a clear-cut hero, and also I never can figure out what's going to happen next or how the film will end. They are very exciting films.

You rascal!! It?s ?The Ancient Highway?, not ?The Ancient Road?! You had me looking for the wrong movie title. And the year is 1925, not 1927. And it?s Billie Dove, not Billy Dove. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0015572/
  8. I loved all of them! They are always filled with surprises.

The man is Jack Holt. I don?t know the lady. In the photo, Jack seems to be wearing English riding pants and a brown fedora. The door to the cabin is open and it?s raining outside.
  11. That's her makeup in Salome. Her dance starts about 3 minutes into this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hm161GpE5Us

  15. >The sad truth about Vertigo is that Judy loved John but John loved "Madeleine." Frank, it is YOU who loves both Judy and Madeleine.
  16. I just happened to catch it before the current movie. I think they've aired it a few times today already. Watch the introductions to all the movies for the next couple of days.
  17. >I'm confused, what's this all about? Kimpunkrock is a new TCM superstar. She is an avid TCM viewer, and she is the star of a new Ben Mankiewicz promo. It shows her getting a TCM tattoo on her arm. It started airing tonight.
  18. >I met Ben when last Dec. he came to Seattle to film the pilot episode for the Movie Fans series that will begin playing on TCM in November I believe. I was so nervous when it came time for my interview with Ben but he made me feel so comfortable and we bonded on films the whole rest of the day. You did just fine.

  21. >That the average person prefers cheap horror effects to a complex tale of obsession surprises me not one white. Whit is spelled "whit", not "white".
  22. >Hollywood is creating a sequel to Gone with the Wind. Yes and I'm writing a new opera I'm going to call "La Traviata", and I'm painting a new painting I'm going to call "The Last Dinner."

  24. This is indeed a "horror" film. I'm horrified!
  25. I guess teenagers want color and modern actors today. I notice that they are using the same basic script, the same shots, and the same music.
