  1. I watched all of SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE last night. I laughed! The best part was the ending that wouldn't end ... The killer is not mysterious or disturbing looking - he looks like a schmoebah. The duel with the poker and power drill... ****? I had seen the beginning at TCM not too long ago with the lineman WOMAN getting murdered silently in her utility van a la drill (no significant special effects in the whole damned thing though - in other words not one damned good kill...) I am not a "Slasher movie" fan; if I was, I would have LAUGHED at this. I'm not a "Slasher movie" fan but I LAUGHED anyway.
  2. Was supposedly originally written as a spoof and was then shot straightforward... leading to "unintentional" humor. Bad movies like that are a favorite!
  3. I became more interested in TCM Underground last year when they showed FROM BEYOND. They have replayed COFFY and FOXY BROWN... Great with me! Was ROB ZOMBIE a short-time host years ago?
  4. Fair enough, though ROBOCOP was fine with me. It is violent and offensive. I started this thread because last week they had an ANDY MILLIGAN Double Feature : FLESHPOT OF 42nd STREET (1973) and GURU, THE MAD MONK (1970). The first, with HARRY REEMS (!) had a good lead actress, was clumsy at best, REEMS was kind of charming... soft core porn! That is underground. GURU was really bad crap. With enormous fake eyelashes. And a shag hairdo. In medieval Staten Island. Sounds better than it was.
  5. I remember that one was not well received. THE ROLLING STONES Emotional Rescue
  6. What a ROTTEN movie. I LOVE it! A friend gave me a DVD of BAD RONALD a of couple years ago...Lots of great Made-for-TV in the 1970s.
  7. I watched some of LITTLE GIRL; that wasn't TCM Underground. I saw a lot of films because of video rentals...
  8. Good night JESSICA, you were unforgettable.
  9. I love all three of those actors and could not agree more. There is typically handsome or beautiful, then there is beauty in the eye of the beholder.
  10. 2am Saturday : Slumber Party Massacre (1982) - if I've seen it, I've forgotten...
  11. PETER FRAMPTON Frampton Comes Alive! It's been quite mild here in NJ, and it's getting to that time of year for LIVE albums - I do tend to listen to them outdoors or ducking from the heat or wishing for Summer to get here...!
  12. I was thought quite handsome in my day... you believe me don't you?
  13. It was the gay one on Are You Being Served? that had me laughing the most...
  14. Norman Bates is heterosexual; his sexual attraction was the motive for the shower murder. We do get SIMON OAKLAND at the end explaining how Norman is not a "transvestite" deriving sexual gratification by donning female attire, though such 'splanation is Freudian flavored drivel. An explanation for 1960 still made it clear that transvestism was not the unspoken (homosexuality).
  15. At another forum I belong to, a friend started a "Top 100 greatest actors" list. DIRK BOGARDE was a swift choice for me. He is still under appreciated. Truly a great actor.
  16. TCM Underground ~ Friday late night... I look forward to seeing what will be on, and I am often surprised and amazed! Last week was an ANDY MILLIGAN double feature : FLESHPOT OF 42nd STREET (1973) followed by GURU, THE MAD MONK (1970). From Bad to Worse, I enjoyed both... The week before it was ROBOCOP (1987)... I've been checking out TCM Underground for years, and one never knows quite what you'll find. I think ROB ZOMBIE hosted it briefly...? I didn't see a thread devoted to TCM Underground ...
