The FIRST best thing TV came up with is I LOVE LUCY.
-
To me, MARY TYLER MOORE is a goddess. Her show is the 2nd best thing TV ever came up with. I watched reruns in the last year or two and watched 'em all! As dated as bits seem momentarily, the writing has a wonderful breadth and prescience, it is never dated. And that WONDERFUL CAST!

I would have LOVED to see ELVIS in that part!

I don't like ELVIS films much... until he sings. I am always ready to watch ELVIS perform. I saw one number in that film last night. ELVIS !!!

I was curious to see that, but alas it was on late even for me (and preceded by SPLENDOR I think - a movie I don't like). I went to bed.

Though it has its moments, and I like the whole cast, The Dick Van Dyke Show is "meh". I have never seen an episode of Lost. THE OLD DARK HOUSE is terrific! There is a distinctly lesbian angle to a couple of scenes. BORIS KARLOFF is disappointing (doesn't speak) but it also has MELVYN DOUGLAS! THE MEPHISTO WALTZ is boring. DEEP THROAT is merely porn. The original STAR WARS is a lot of fun, and superior to all of the other films. TERMS OF ENDEARMENT is soapy and manipulative, with a great cast. The first LORD OF THE RINGS is wonderful; the second, a mixed bag, the the third PROTRACTED - at that point I was completely bored by fabulously produced battles. Who's fighting who and why do I care?

I'm not often in front of my TV, though it's usually on and sometimes I catch the Noir Alley flicks, maybe even TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY. They were certainly easy enough to look up! RUTH ROMAN is striking, but I can't claim to be a fan. Wait a minute... isn't there one where she's a bad girl who gets shot to death?
-
I notice you did not cite the obvious movies like THE WINDOW (love it) or STRANGERS ON A TRAIN - I had to look them up! BOING! RUTH ROMAN. Still can't place her face? Think of Champion (1949) and Tomorrow Is Another Day (1951).

RUTH ROMAN?

She is the one that looks most familiar and she is also the most memorable actress in the short but...?
-
It looked like a few cuties that look familiar...

I also watched DEATH ON THE NILE ("Stop!") and EVIL UNDER THE SUN. It's true the plots are implausible at best, but great casts make them fun to watch. DEAR HEART (1965) I love GERALDINE PAGE in that part. CHURCHILL AND THE MOVIE MOGUL (2019) learned a lot! Followed by THAT HAMILTON WOMAN (1941) a movie I love. LISTEN, DARLING (1938) which is MGM corn incarnate - and cute as a button with a fascinating cast! Last night it was DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE (1931) which is the best version of that story I know. MIRIAM HOPKINS best part!
