  1. ^ Ha! I owned LAYLA on vinyl too! That "Little Wing" is nice, but can't come close to JIMI.
  2. Me too. Back in the day, I had the first two albums on a double album compilation titled A Nice Pair. I no longer have Ummagumma (probably someday) and Obscured By Clouds, but otherwise I had to have all of the other (real) albums (not Division Bell ...) on CD.
  3. The live clip is great, but there's nothing better than original studio recordings...
  4. LENE LOVICH ...haven't thought of her in years. Love the record. Reminds me of this lady :
  5. The entire 10CC album was up on YouTube - The Original Soundtrack - I think. Very good unexpected album! EDIT: Yup, that's it.
  6. Not looking like a Top 10 artist, check out how weird he looks here:
  7. Oh! I didn't mention he was in THE STONE CANYON BAND and is on two albums In Concert At The Troubador, 1969and Rudy The Fifth... RICK NELSON of course.
  8. I think DON HENLEY and GLENN FREY may have pushed him out of THE EAGLES...
  9. I love music like that; listening now. Very much in my wheelhouse.
  10. You do seem to have an appreciation for music of that era, but LOVE were kind of a West Coast secret and only really listened to by record junkies (like me-and I'm too young). By the mid 70s, all of LOVE was out of print OOP except Forever Changes... I think they did have a bit of a Top 40 presence, but not much and probably '66. ...And speaking of the Whiskey-A-Go-Go, that was the only venue LOVE routinely played and they probably never toured! Oh! I wrote a review of Forever Changes : https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2AE39PRXAD95P?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srp
  11. Don't you know Forever Changes ...? It almost precedes the fame of PETER MAX.
  12. The only LOVE album I ever owned (on vinyl too)... maybe the only LOVE album anybody ever owned... I listen to that every Summer.
  13. This is the one I listen to most "Moonlight On Vermont" :
  14. I was wondering why I hadn't written a review for CAPTAIN BEEFHEART's first album (Safe As Milk) which is easily his most accessible and listenable album. BEEFHEART had some wonderful moments but very spotty. My reviews are old... here's the review I wrote for the followup to Strictly Personal (Trout Mask Replica) : https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/RAM4OVC47J4XC?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srp
  15. Review : https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/RLDHBVUT7SLIY?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srp
  16. CAPTAIN BEEFHEART AND HIS MAGIC BAND Strictly Personal
  17. I watched some of that too... ERROL ! Great cast (I think within about a year after that film ROSS ALEXANDER who played Jeremy killed himself).
  18. CAPTAIN BEEFHEART AND HIS MAGIC BAND Safe As Milk
  19. Maybe because that was her only hit (a cover of an earlier hit by EDDIE FLOYD). Great record for her that went to #1 USA Top 40.
  20. Well that would fix the problem in THE HAUNTING...
