  1. I have lots of CD Pop collections of early 20th century music like 50 Sweet Bands! 50 Sweet Songs! (30s) or Homecoming 1945 ... I've got that link to YouTube playing now... I like it.
  2. Damn! I want to see that! I like Mexican horrors!
  3. D'okay. "Do Me Do Duds" is the only part of that movie that I wanna look at... like a peek-a-boo blouse with maribou frills...
  4. HANS CONRIED and ALICE PEARCE did a wonderful album Monster Rally ... this one is my favorite from that :
  5. We agree. It is stunning. I don't know that I agree with everything in the article you cite. I will say what I always say, Barry Lyndon is a cad; RYAN O'NEAL is perfect casting.
  6. BLACK NARCISSUS was the film that first made me aware of MICHAEL POWELL, the first film of his I know I saw was THE RED SHOES. That film remains a huge success, particularly financially. That's POWELL's one film I don't look at, though TCM gives opportunity often enough. TCM does show PEEPING TOM, a film one does not forget.
  7. I was of course, talking about ZACHERLE's album Monster Mash which does include a cover of the hit...
  8. Monster Mash is a classick. Emphasis on SICK sick sick
  9. Here's the one I know I have, the other I can't remember the cover! I have the CD this shows, a compilation of 2 albums; I have Monster Mash album on vinyl - found at a flea market for a buck- 35 years ago!
  10. I remember that one but never owned it. I know I've got 2 different KARLOFF albums of ghoulish stories... Tales of the Frightened ...? I've got a HITCHCOCK one too I think...
  11. He played many wonderful roles... I'm particularly fond of this one:
  12. I own a copy on vinyl... I still have all of my "Halloween" records, most are sound effects or "spoken word" like Famous Monsters Speak. I have music too like ZACHERLE's albums and 45s. I've got an orange vinyl record shaped like a pumpkin... it has 4 obscure tracks on it.
  13. WILLIAM SHATNER Has Been Here's a review I wrote about 14 years ago: https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R28ZLCVLAXJ4D3?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srp
  14. I was looking to see if anyone mentioned SCTV... Johnny LaRue was probably my favorite... Schitt's Creek is also wonderful.
  15. ^ Yes, the same year. Great record! However, Comes A Time was not my "first real time record" that might've been ELTON JOHN or WINGS or PETER FRAMPTON... Listening to this:
  16. ^ I own Odessey and Oracle on CD. I think the band broke up and the album was released... with their biggest hit on it!
  17. When I say "starting with" I only meant BLACK NARCISSUS was his first film I saw...
  18. This record was the first NEIL YOUNG record I bought new when it was released. Later, I picked up a CD and upload of which is what I listen to and love.
  19. Hell yeh. I like all of MICHAEL POWELL's films, starting with BLACK NARCISSUS. Mesmerizing, hypnotic, and gorgeous.
  20. I'd be hard pressed to think of another... BARRY LYNDON just gets better and better for me. I could see where audiences would have stayed away in droves.
  21. Definitely the way I reacted to these long "motionless" films like LAWRENCE OF ARABIA or 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY... films I now love and find endlessly watchable... DEATH IN VENICE is like that too... a snooze-fest... now, all favorites of mine.
  22. I have a used CD (expect it's OOP again) uploaded. The vinyl also quickly went out of print. It is interesting how academy award winning... eh "soundtracks" often fall OOP (Hannah And Her Sisters)...
