  1. Yes, and I think it's interesting but pales compared to TJADER... this is more my speed for Swingin' London
  2. Hell yeh! I've got IGGY's first two albums... don't forget BOWIE's cover of IGGY's "China Girl"...
  3. IGGY understood instinctively where Rock was rooted and headed and presaged it all, including Punk. "I Wanna Be Your Dog" is from THE STOOGES first album which is DUMB, HILARIOUS, compelling, and mostly very listenable. It is not perfect, but the first album is superb.
  4. Listening again... here's a review I wrote 14 or 15 years ago: https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/RDAF7C2ZLYQSG?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srp
  5. Except for VLADO PERLEMUTER Plays RAVEL, my favorite music recording is THE STOOGES Funhouse
  6. HOWLIN' WOLF Two on One Howlin' Wolf / Moanin' in the Moonlight
  7. Terrific performer. That voice! Last night I looked at all of a LOUIS ARMSTRONG documentary on TCM that went off at about 3:30am. I did not learn anything surprising, and much old interview footage... I really enjoyed it! It was great to see DAVE BRUBECK and his wife.
  8. The only vinyl of SPRINGSTEEN I ever owned (except some 45 in the 80s) but I was not motivated by his art.
  9. Dig it! I have no idea though I recall somebodies won Oscars for the screenplay... which I confess I don't like too much.
  10. I would not argue against it, but one thing I KNOW for sure is I love that album! A lot of times for a band, the first album is the best...
  11. Y'mean BEN or MATT? I wouldn't be surprised as the film is full of tropes, sounds and looks good at a glance, but quickly becomes apparent that the viewer is being manipulated... ech, I love ROBIN WILLIAMS but I kind of enjoy knocking that film.
  12. Something Cool is the classic JUNE CHRISTY album, from 1953, and successful in its era. I love her but she is largely forgotten. She sang with STAN KENTON's band in the late 40s (after ANITA O'DAY left). She married a member of KENTON's band.
  13. I got you. Of course, I'm in digital world so a "loop" is a repear... repeat... JUNE CHRISTY Something Cool
  14. It is that kind of record for me too... put it on a loop! JUNE CHRISTY Gone For The Day
  15. ...keeping The Beatles at number two in the UK with their single "Let It Be"... I like that record. Meaning "Wanderin' Star"
  16. I am a fan, but no hardcore. I had Eliminator on vinyl, but that's it. DUSTY HILL died at the end of July!
