'm hoping you haven't heard the following cover version
Yes, and I think it's interesting but pales compared to TJADER... this is more my speed for Swingin' London

I think you'd be surprised at how many Iggy songs you're unwittingly familiar with
Hell yeh! I've got IGGY's first two albums... don't forget BOWIE's cover of IGGY's "China Girl"...

Anyway, thanks for I Wanna Be Your Dog, which I recall having heard before now. It certainly suggests that Pop is a seriously twisted head case with an inferiority complex and masochistic tendencies.
IGGY understood instinctively where Rock was rooted and headed and presaged it all, including Punk. "I Wanna Be Your Dog" is from THE STOOGES first album which is DUMB, HILARIOUS, compelling, and mostly very listenable. It is not perfect, but the first album is superb.

Except for VLADO PERLEMUTER Plays RAVEL, my favorite music recording is THE STOOGES Funhouse

Terrific performer. That voice!
Last night I looked at all of a LOUIS ARMSTRONG documentary on TCM that went off at about 3:30am. I did not learn anything surprising, and much old interview footage... I really enjoyed it! It was great to see DAVE BRUBECK and his wife.

what impressed me last night was the acting of Kim Novak
I enjoy that movie because of her.

had that album. The grandiose arrangement and performance of the title tune, to me, had a kind of lush Broadway production-Phil Spector "Wall of Sound" vibe. It dynamically hooked me on Springsteen, impelling me to buy his earlier albums, Greetings from Asbury Park and The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle . . . which sounded nothing like Born to Run and which didn't thrill me*.
The only vinyl of SPRINGSTEEN I ever owned (except some 45 in the 80s) but I was not motivated by his art.

Or William Goldman, who either wrote the whole thing or none of it depending on which version you believe.
Dig it! I have no idea though I recall somebodies won Oscars for the screenplay... which I confess I don't like too much.

One of the most significant rock guitar-oriented albums of all, Van HaleN is possibly the most important one to be released in the past fifty years or so
I would not argue against it, but one thing I KNOW for sure is I love that album! A lot of times for a band, the first album is the best...

I'm saying someone involved with the Good Will Hunting script obviously was influenced, possibly HEAVILY influenced by patient/doctor aspect in Equus
Y'mean BEN or MATT? I wouldn't be surprised as the film is full of tropes, sounds and looks good at a glance, but quickly becomes apparent that the viewer is being manipulated... ech, I love ROBIN WILLIAMS but I kind of enjoy knocking that film.

Unfamiliar with June Christy. Pete Rugolo, OTOH
Something Cool is the classic JUNE CHRISTY album, from 1953, and successful in its era. I love her but she is largely forgotten. She sang with STAN KENTON's band in the late 40s (after ANITA O'DAY left). She married a member of KENTON's band.

Just to ensure clarity:
I placed the album on a pedal looper which allows one to repeat either the entire song, or just certain parts over-and-over again.
I did this so I could use the album as part of practicing. One just uses the foot to hit the pedal to repeat. (much easier then picking up the needle on a record player and wearing out the record).
I got you. Of course, I'm in digital world so a "loop" is a repear... repeat...

Speaking of Lee Marvin, here's Ol' Rheumy Eyes crooning his one and only hit record:
"'Wand'rin' Star' was a number one single in the UK for three weeks and in Ireland for two weeks for Lee Marvin in March 1970. The song also peaked at number 10 in Australia." -- Wikipedia
...keeping The Beatles at number two in the UK with their single "Let It Be"... I like that record. Meaning "Wanderin' Star"
