  1. I saw the end of THE CONSPIRATORS (1944) today, which of course has JOSEPH CALLEIA as a reliably neutral Portuguese cop with a bent towards good... which made me think of him in GILDA... and of course FIVE CAME BACK... a very honorable killer... and once in awhile he played a rat... reliably! He's a favorite, I admire him like I admire J. CARROL NAISH.
  2. Honorable killer, sees justice cop, always solid and a delight...
  3. THE FLYING BURRITO BROTHERS Burrito Deluxe When I found the compilation CD, I wrote this review : https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2S7BGYM37YSI2?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srp
  4. DAVE BRUBECK became so famous with hit records nobody who knew nothing knew he played the PIANO... one of his better known pieces with highlights of woodwinds as always.
  5. Anyone devoted to TCM is typically bored with the repeat playlist... but apparently programmers routinely ignore this forum! Welcome aboard.
  6. The first segment of NEW YORK STORIES (1989) is Life Lessons about a painter (NICK NOLTE) directed by MARTIN SCORCESE.
  7. I admit I generally avoid mature MICKEY roles. He's hard to believe as a boxer. And speaking of BRIAN DONLEVY... both men, superior actors.
  8. Damn I LOVE ROGER LIVESEY! He is the best part of THE ENTERTAINER.
  9. And here's the review for the compilation CD which includes the 2nd album: https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2S7BGYM37YSI2?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srp
