I remember one evening in the 1970s as it was starting to get dark passing through Times Square
and all of a sudden two blonde babes in gold lame dresses walked by. There was something rather
charming in seeing them amidst the general sleaziness of Times Square.
Hmmm... as opposed to glamorous sleaziness. Reminds me of CITIZEN KANE with C. EVERETT SLOANE describing a girl who never saw him that he saw decades before for one moment... and thinks about her still, he'd bet not a month goes by...

There Are Many a Performer and Artist; Past and (some) Present. That id Love to meet.
Eve is EASILY one of them.
One of my regrets was not walking over and saying hello to FRANK GORSHIN who was smoking on the street in front of the theater he was appearing in...

That's the one. I always forget. I went to Upsala for one year in the early 1970s. Had a couple of cool
teachers.
UPSALA has closed! My father had also attended school there...

taking care not to disrespect the location, which has been much maligned in the Sopranos era
'kay. I'm from New Jersey. We disparage our state ourselves, no doubt influenced by mainstream influences. Particularly disparaging places like Newark, East Orange, Camden, Trenton, Asbury Park... There's truth in it. I'm NJ born and bred and proud of it!

I'm not sure about that. At least white socks blend with their white legs.
I always forget which direction is missing from the Oranges.
There is no North Orange.

Was this why TCM showed THE EARRINGS OF MADAME de... yesterday? The character of Nanny is always shown reading fortunes with playing cards... well worth a watch. I guess it's just a coincidence...

I missed maybe the first seven minutes when I watched. Is it established that the Russ Tamblyn character (Spoiler Alert!) is a narc right from the beginning? Because it came a little bit as a surprise to me at the two-thirds point of the movie, though he was so single-minded on getting inside with the drug kingpin, I began to have my suspicions. If you are supposed to know from the very start, I have to say it makes for a different viewing experience when you don't know!
Have to admit... I don't remember! I only remember vividly JERRY LEE LEWIS at the opening... and JACKIE COOGAN, the drug kingpin... I think we know at the beginning RUSS is a copper...

I love VISCONTI films, but I've not seen them all. I would love to see L'INNOCENTE.
