okay, now there is another movie i am searching for. this time i don't know the name but it is an old black and white about this black woman and her daughter who live with a white woman and her daughter and the black daughter has lighter skin and people think she is white. this daughter hates her mother and is cruel to her mom. later when she grows up at the end of the movie her mother dies and she is crying over the coffin. i recall her name might have been "babe" or "baby" please help!

hi everyone. i'm wondering if anyone can help me. when i was a kid i remember seeing this movie. it was called "king" it was an old black and white. it was probably a movie from the 40's. i would have wathched it in the mid 70's. it was about this woman who owned a german shepard and the dog was poisoned. the dog (King) went to animal heaven where he learned that he had been poisoned. he was able to go back down to earth and also bring along a companion. his companion was a female horse. back on earth they were a man and a woman. the man (formerly the dog King) went back to the woman who was his owner and through the course of the movie discovered that he(as a dog) had been poisoned by the woman's (his owner) lover. as a man "king" fell in love with the woman and at the end of the movie it was discovered that this woman had actually come back down to earth as well and had previously been a st. bernard dog. at the end of the movie the man and his companion (the horse) were rising back up to animal heaven and transfomred back into the german shepard and the horse. I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP. my sister and i both watched this movie on a sunday afternoon when we were about 12 years old. we have never met anyone else who has ever seen this movie. before i die i need to know that we not dillusional and that this movie existed. i know it sounds like a bizarre storyline but if anyone else could help me locate this movie i'd be forever grateful.
