Years ago I read a book then I saw the Henry Fonda movie "Slim" and remembered the similarities between the two, Slim is a great old movie can any one tell me if the movie was made from the book or vice versa and what the name of the book is. Foreverlost

I'm looking for a old western it was in color it was about this town that thought there was going to be a hard winter so they were bringing a wagon train of whisky the indians chased them into a swamp where they lost the whole thing one of the characters was an old scout when ever he got a drink he would shout "I see it all" Can anyone tell me the name of this movie I would appreciate the information.
