Sadly neither. I do love Nothing Sacred though.

My recollection is that they were both not big ticket stars and it was definitely earlier than the 50s. If I had to guess I would say in the 30s. The one scene that sticks with me is the girl going on the ledge of the hotel and the guy going after her. I’m also pretty sure the guy had a fiancée in the beginning. To be honest I was already really amazed you found the other film based on the horrible description I gave, so if this one is a bust I only have my super vague memory of it to blame!

My last post was successful so hopefully I can find this film too. I don't remember much about it except that it is about a man who is staying at a hotel when he witnesses a young woman try to kill herself. He prevents this and the two fall in love. Although a darker subject matter I remember the movie being lighter in tone, almost screwball style. I've been trying to find this one for a while but I obviously don't remember much of it so it hasn't been easy. Thanks in advance if anyone is able to piece it together!

Sadly this isn’t the one. The one I’m thinking of she was already on the radio singing ad jingles and there is a mix up where people believe she is involved with the owner. It also doesn’t star Doris Day, I just thought it did.

I want to rewatch an old film I remember enjoying but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I thought it started Doris Day but none of her titles are ringing a bell. As I remember it (which to be fair may be off) it is about a woman who is a radio ad singer who does all of the jingles but she wants to be a “real” singer. Beyond that I remember that she lived in a cute home with an older woman, an aunt I think, and I know that there was some kind of mistaken identity involved. If I remember correctly people (including the family) thought she was involved with the owner of the radio station but she wasn’t and she and the owners son end up falling in love. I don’t remember what year it came out but it was in color. If anyone can help me find this film I would really appreciate it!
