  1. Henry Stephenson Yikes, Peebs! 1917??? You're really going back in time there. I first thought you simply mistyped 2017. Needless to say, I have never seen this film. 😀 Next: UNDERCURRENT (1946)
  2. Hmmm....I'm trying not to give it away with too easy of a hint, but..... Hint #3. He played Scrooge once too.
  3. To me it looks like BEN-HUR: A TALE OF THE CHRIST (1925). Most of them were spectators at a chariot race. Interesting.
  4. Excellent. No need to apologize. With the way this board comes up with trivia answers I thought, "Oh no!" Fausterlitz got one I didn't see. I immediately thought Sarandon and Robbins had married as well. Oh well....that's Hollywood. You got the other 3. I thought the Bergner/Czinner one would be the tough one. Good job! Your board.
  5. Fritz Weaver. Yes...he was good in thE Twilight Zone. He was good in sci-fi mysteries like Tales from the Dark Side, The X Files and Night Gallery too. One of my favorite Fritz Weaver turns was in 1982's CREEPSHOW with Hal Holbrook and Adrienne Barbeau. Weaver and Holbrook are friends who discover a monster in a crate hidden under the stairs in their college office building. Holbrook can't stand his shrewish wife, Barbeau, and conspires to have her killed by the creature. The classic line I always remember from the film? "Just tell him to call ya Wilma!" , as the monster does in Barbeau. Next: ABSOLUTE POWER (1997)
  6. You're doing well. I didn't have the Sarandon/Robbins duet on my list...but...but....but...they were never married. You've gotten 4 of the 7. I think one should be pretty easy, but 2 of them (one is the actress who eventually married her director) might be a challenge.
  7. Dennis O'Keefe Next: DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN (1985)
  8. I goofed. I fixed it. 7 actresses were up for Best Actress Oscars in a movie directed by their husband. 1 of the 7 was not married to her director at the time of the movie but later married him. 1 actress/director combo did this twice.
  9. Here goes. There are 6 actresses who have been nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role Oscars in films directed by their husbands. In fact, one of the actresses and her husband pulled this little trick off twice! They didn't necessarily win, but some did. The husbands may or may not have been nominated for Best Director for the same film. It's not critical. In addition, there is one more actress who was nominated for a best actress Oscar while being directed by her "future" husband. How many can you name? The actress. Her husband. The film. 7 total. Which tandem did it twice? Good luck.
  10. Audie Murphy? He was married, briefly, to Wanda Hendrix. I would say his favorite movie of mine would be DESTRY (1954) As for a Hendrix movie? It might be JOHNNY COOL (1963) since it's about the only movie I think I've seen with her in it. If I'm right I'll come up with another quiz.
  11. Paul Newman....I almost did. My first job was in CT and Newman/Woodward (they lived in Westport forever) were clients of our office but he never came in. She did a couple times. She was as nice as could be. I'm sure he would have been too. Someone who never became as big a star as they should've.
  12. THE ALAMO (1960) Next: Audie Murphy
  13. Hal Williams. Interesting. Still active but no movie appearances in 30 years. Next: ALL OF ME (1984)
  14. THE AGE OF INNOCENCE (1993) Next: bicycle(s)
  15. Jackie Coogan Next: A STEP TOWARDS TOMORROW (1996)
  16. I don't remember this movie, but if I had I'd probably have liked Kirk Douglas's character, Whit. Douglas rarely disappointed. Next: Jaws (1975)
  17. Twilight (1998) I remember this movie and completely forgot Garner was in it. I remember Newman and Hackman. Newman kills Garner. Next: Shirley MacLaine
  18. Annette Funicello 😏 Next: Singing film star
  19. THE WILD BUNCH (1969) A drama where no one dies. Not one. Real or imagined. Not of old age, gets shot, accidently. No one. It's not as easy at it seems. I know TopBilled will know a few.
  20. I haven't seen PEGGY SUE GOT MARRIED in a long time, but I really liked it. I had completely forgotten that O'Sullivan was in it too.
  21. THE MAN IN THE IRON MASK (1939) A great small, independent movie that nobody saw (example: GIGANTIC 2008)
