I'm a fan of stand up comedy. It's a brutal business; unforgiving and maybe the hardest form of performance art. While Anderson would not show up very high on my favorites list, he certainly had a persona and style that could be engaging. For the second time today I offer my RIP.

Betty Compson? If so, Next: THE LAST GOOD TIME (1994)

Bill Murray Name the first actor/actress that comes to mind who gave the longest soliloquy (or simply the longest, uninterrupted line of dialog) you can think of. I'd love to know the movie scene you come up with. I'm thinking along the lines of George C. Scott's opening to PATTON even though I'm guessing it was pieced together from several takes. What's yours?

Without getting all political, one can be against vaccine "mandates" while still being in favor of getting a vaccine. I am one who believes that one's body is one's choice. I don't necessarily agree with what everybody does to their body..or not..just that it's their choice...good or bad. Me? I'm vaccinated and would encourage everyone to get one.

They haven't mentioned it, but he's had years of asthma trouble and collapsed a few times on stage from respiratory and weight related issues. He wasn't the picture of health even as he appeared to have lost some weight. If you're old and have co-morbidities you got a get vaxxed. In addition, take Vit D and Zinc every day. Wear a mask around crowds. In the end....we're all listed as day to day.

The thing I always admired about Meat Loaf was that he was guileless and first and foremost an entertainer. He could act. He had presence. On stage he was in charge. He started out in theater. He knew how to act in a live setting. While his music was pretty good, his performance made it great. Rock opera/theater. You always got your money's worth. And, after all, isn't that what it's all about? Will they make a movie about him? He would have to be at least as interesting as Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Elton John and Freddie Mercury.

The guy had talent. RIP. It seems almost every day we're losing another Hollywood/Music /Broadway talent. 😪
