Louise Fletcher....She's had a long career, but after winning an Oscar for Cuckoo's Nest she never seemed to get another "it" role. I think she should've been a bigger star. Next: A grandson or granddaughter of a much bigger star. Name both.

#4 is Tennessee Tuxedo voiced by the late Don Knotts. His side kick was Chumley. They would go see Professor Whoopie when they were stumped. I named one of my cats "Whoopie" in his honor.

I looked right at Honor Blackman and totally whiffed on THE AVENGERS. 🤪 Doh! I think you have the board, Broadway.

I'll take a stab at this, though I think it's wrong. The TV show is GAME OF THRONES The actresses are: Diana Rigg in ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE (1969) Oona Chaplin in QUANTUM OF SOLACE (2008)..This wasn't a big role so I'm not sure she qualifies as a "Bond Girl".

My sincere apologies. I did not mean to offend your fragile sensibilities. In the future, would you be so kind and respond to people who answer your quiz in a more timely manner. That would help avoid these "misunderstandings".

Glenn Ford was not very responsible towards his wife Eleanor Powell and was known to make his rounds among most Hollywood women without a care in the world. Next: An actress....who...ahem....got around.
-
THE MALTESE FALCON (1941) shot Next: Lucille Ball....again I see only 1 screen death for this Hollywood icon.

Is there an outstanding question here? Is it Princess of Tap's board or am I missing the query? I like this thread.

I would say Michael Sacks. I don't know how many really remember him, but he was in several fine films in his short career including one of my Top Tens...SLAUGHTERHOUSE FIVE (1972). He was not leading man material but had a certain "look" that was perfect for several of the characters he played. I always wondered if he could have played a number of offbeat roles that actors like Chrisopher Lloyd, J.K. Simmons or even a Christopher Walken made famous. I could see him in any number of Coen Brothers films. FARGO...for instance. Next: Died in his/her 20's. Good start to a short career.

1989 battling spouses WAR OF THE ROSES 1993 shot by Robert Duvall FALLING DOWN 1996 killed by lion off-screen THE GHOST AND THE DARKNESS (I'd forgotten about this movie...as I recall it wasn't too bad). 1998 shot by Gwenth Paltrow A PERFECT MURDER Next: Gene Wilder (I'm not positive, but I think just once).

LADY BE GOOD (1941) honestly, any Eleanor Powell movie. Her "dog dancing" scene was terrific in that film. Very, very hard to do. My understanding is it was all one take. The dog was a mutt owned by a stagehand and was trained just for that one scene. A very underrated dog actor. Next: Favorite Christopher Walken character and the film

Death Takes No Holiday -- The Obituary Thread
MrMagoo replied to Richard Kimble's topic in General Discussions
NORTH DALLAS FORTY (both the book and screenplay) were written by Pete Gent. He never played college football but played basketball at Michigan State. Nevertheless, he was offered a tryout by the Dallas Cowboys and made the team. He became good friends with Cowboy QB and future Monday Night Football mainstay, Don Meredith. His lead characters in NDF were based on himself and Meredith's. Played by Mac Davis and Nick Nolte respectively. I think the Spradlin character was more of a composite of the head coaching genre of the era. All head coaches were maniacs to a certain extent. Lombardi, Hank Schram, Landry, Madden, Van Brocklin. Professional football is the most dehumanizing sport in existence. You have to be a bit off to both play it and coach it. -

ANATOMY OF A MURDER (1959) with Jimmy Stewart, Ben Gazzara and Lee Remick. Arthur O'Connell plays a drunken side kick to the fly fishing, attorney played by Stewart. The late Orson Bean plays doctor who testifies to the mind of the accused. George C. Scott plays the prosecutor and Murray Hamilton plays a key witness. A nice cast. Not a bad movie, but for me a bit unsatisfying. Next: Name another courtroom/legal drama that starred Stewart's lifelong friend. Name the friend and film.
