  1. it is a shame they don't pick universal or paramount stars more often. but think about it. it has something to do with the fact that ted turner owns many of the mgm, rko and warner titles. of course, it would be a nice thing if he would just sweep up those old paramounts and fox titles too. amc used to show the paramounts and foxs, now they show whatever hbo is showing. fox movie channel plays the occasional offeat title. i've seen sunrise, just imagine, call her savage, dante's inferno and a lot of loretta young and shirley temple. i have also seen ali babe goes to town. with that sai
  2. I am on the lookout for a short, released by Warner Bros., which featues Lillian Roth in the lead. I would like to get my hands on it because it has some choreography in it that is very close to early modern dance. I am sure it was done by Bobby Connolly, which is another reason why I want to have it to share with all my dancer friends who think modern dance come out of some European's ----, I mean, imagination. Some other hints--it features Roth singing "Sophisticated Lady" and it takes place during Mardi Gras.
  3. is without a doubt, 42nd Street. I like them dark, but not too dark. So, that would mean I like Sweet Charity but not Chicago and Applause and The Broadway Melody. These four beauties are as dark and complex as good roast coffee!
