I am looking for the title of a movie a, comedy, about a gangster - NY or Chicago, think NY - in which gangster buys a flower every day from a flower woman for good luck. Flower woman has been writing her daughter on a famous hotel's stationary about her wonderful life - all fiction. Daughter is coming for a visit for mom to meet her fiance from a rich family. Mom, flower woman is beside herself. Gangster and his girl friend step in and create a make believe life for her that lives out the fantasy of the letters she has written to her daughter - using gangster friends. The early movie was originally a U.S. film. Jackie Chan remade it in China as "Black Dragon" (first released as Miracles) in Chinese with English subtitles. Can anyone help with a title - this is driving me crazy because I know I have seen the U.S. version.
